Stayed over July 4th. In a superior room, window view of skyline and harbor, very impressive cityscape that we saw day and night. Rooms were nicely furnished, bed outstanding. TV on far right wall that was hard to watch from bed, bed, but hey, in front of the bed were those windows, so options for tv placement were limited. Tub with shower although shower was small. Water pressure excellent. As far as service, not a single glitch to complain about, and I love to complain in these reviews. The restaurant food, MKT, was over prepared, I would eat elsewhere. There are many SF options close by at MKT prices. Small things like free in-room coffee. Don’t use the bar or food. I paid 10 dollars for 1 Kind bar. My bad. Hotel location near everything including SF MOMA which is a must see. A great 5 star option in SF option even considering the price.

Exceptional hotel, positioned perfectly in the city. To be expected of a Four Seasons, the hotel provides all the amenities and experiences one would expect. The bar and in-hotel restaurant are top-notch, the rooms are perfectly designed, and the staff truly exceptional. Staying in a Four Seasons always feels like you're welcomed, giving you a "home" feeling. The other guests are all respectful and enjoy chatting about experiences they've had which makes it fun to hear and gather ideas for future travels. I always highly recommend staying at a Four Seasons.

If possible, I’d give this hotel 6 stars. A terrific experience end-to-end. Been awhile since last visit but doorman remembered us. Check in was fast and easy. Room was spotless, maintained 2x daily by thorough housekeeping team [don’t forget to tip the hardest working folks in the hotel  ] Bathroom has a tub, shower stall, 2 sinks and separate toilet room. Water pressure is full so showers are quick. Mini bar with pod coffee maker. Very quiet despite center city location- we slept like babies. Plenty of outlets and a charging cord for your use while there. MKT restaurant is consistently good. Climate control is simple and works well in San Francisco's unpredictable weather. Every morning they stock complimentary coffee & tea station in the lobby with rotating muffins assortment. First night I went to the attached Equinox’s hot water dispenser to make herbal tea; then we realized they also offer complimentary tea nightly. One of the hotel’s best perks is free access to huge Equinox Sports Club downstairs. Equinox’s 3 floors offer weights, every machine you could imagine from ellipticals and treadmills to Soulcycles & stairmasters, 25 yard salt water lap pool, spa, steam room, sauna, the works. Bellman came right up to get our luggage when we called. Check out was fast and easy, bill was spot on accurate.

Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco is not the flashiest property in the brand’s portfolio, but I have a real soft spot for it. I stayed here repeatedly for industry conferences, and those trips were consistently productive and well worth the time. The sessions delivered practical value; I learned a great deal, and I met some excellent people across my industry. The hotel itself was exceptionally well suited to that purpose. The conference facilities were well run, the food and service stayed dialed in, and the Veranda Terrace provided a welcome place to step outside directly from the conference center between sessions. The rooms were spacious, clean, and filled with natural light from large windows overlooking downtown, which made it easier to recharge and stay focused. Complimentary access to the Equinox Sports Club in the building was an especially valuable amenity for me and far better than relying on a small hotel gym. The Market Street location also made it easy to finish work and walk toward Union Square, Yerba Buena Gardens, or other parts of downtown. It may not deliver the grand sense of occasion found at some Four Seasons resorts, but for a San Francisco business trip, it offered the right combination of polish, practicality, and warmth.

Our stay at Four Seasons San Francisco was one of those experiences that just felt right from start to finish. Every person we interacted with—reception, housekeeping, maintenance—was warm, capable, and genuinely kind, even during the chaos of Super Bowl weekend. The team handled the crowds and traffic without missing a beat. The thoughtful touches made the biggest impression: a lovely welcome gift on arrival and a perfectly timed snack box for our trip down to Levi’s Stadium—small details that truly matter when you’re on the go. Our room was comfortable and spotless (and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic). Dining was delicious, and access to Equinox was a real bonus with a great pool and quality fitness classes. Grateful to the entire team for making a busy weekend feel easy, relaxing, and special—we’d happily return.

We had a nice stay at the Four Seasons San Francisco. The hotel was comfortable, the rooms were well maintained, and the service was good overall. That said, compared with other Four Seasons properties we have stayed at, this particular hotel didn’t quite have the same sense of luxury or special atmosphere that we usually associate with the brand. Four Seasons hotels normally have a certain level of warmth, refinement, and attention to detail that makes the experience feel exceptional, whereas here the stay felt more like a very good city hotel than a truly luxurious Four Seasons experience. There was nothing particularly wrong with our stay, and we were comfortable throughout, but given the Four Seasons name and the expectations that come with it, we had hoped for a little more in terms of the overall experience and sense of luxury.

Amazing hotel in great location. Close to Union square, shopping mall and facing Market street. Dine-in service was quick and efficient. Hotel Stuff was incredible. Something I didn’t know, you get access to Equinox gym which is on the 4th floor, otherwise I’d bring some workout clothes.
