Google· 2 months agoSo close to everything. Very quiet. One warning to visiting from other countries: the hot water in Spain from the faucet can get so hot if your ate not very careful. That is just what I found everywhere and not a reflection on the facility. There is no reception area here but you can walk around the block to their sister hotel where there is always helpful staff. Or you can telephone from your room.

Tripadvisor· a year agoYou could not get a better location. 2mins from cathedral, 5mins to market, surrounded by lovely cafes and restaurants but quiet road in comparison with nearby more tourist roads. Room was serviced every day and spotless! Looks newly renewed interior, bathroom etc and very comfortable. Room was compact but had everything I needed for my 5 night stay. Bathroom had plenty of space and all very well thought out. Be mindful on arrival that 1) if you catch the 1Euro bus from airport its a 20 minute uphill walk from the station bus stop. Its fine, but be ready 2) check in is at the sister hotel round the corner, so head for that 1st. The staff are really friendly and helpful -thank you Sandra! Checkout is at 12 and you can leave bags there. 3) the pension is on 3 floors with no lift. It's fine and I just took it slow getting the 20KG bag up and down. I would return to this accomodation every time!

Google· a year agoThere's no elevators and the air conditioning doesn't hold a temperature (you can change it, but it resets). Bed is comfortable, and the shower is well stocked.

Google· a year agoLocated literally 2 min walking to the cathedral, this small hotel is cute and has everything you need for a night in the city. Be mindful, being a small university city means that Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, the noise level will be loud, so it is not the hotel’s fault! If you want a super quiet place, stay away from the city center, it is a better option. In this pension, rooms seem recently renovated, and despite not being very big, they offer everything you need at a very affordable price. Great place!

Tripadvisor· a year agoOn the good side, the staff is very welcoming and the room, including the modern bathroom, were spotless. The location is great - very close to the cathedral. However, for me, the bed was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. It was hard and I could feel the springs of the mattress in my back. And while it wasn't a big issue when I was there, you can hear every sound from the hallway, and people talking in neighboring rooms. I ended up leaving after two nights, despite booking and paying for three. The room wasn't expensive, but I wouldn't stay there again.

Google· a year agoSimple room, very close, excellent location just 18 minutes from the train and bus station. Shower good, plenty of fresh linen, drinking cups and extra blankets if needed. Signs in English, Spanish and Galician. Check in a little convoluted as had to go to a hotel around the corner to complete check in with a 24 hour reception but had a very nice and pleasant conversation via intercom with directions, this was in Spanish so don't know if non-Castillan speakers may struggle with this. I didn't read the sign carefully so maybe this is explained and I also didn't read my email which may contain this instructions. The receptionist was lovely and interesting to talk to and key card for both main door and room was appreciated. Simple leave card in box upon exit. Only there five hours and did everything I needed and more.

Tripadvisor· 2 years agoVery clean and bright hotel. Great service, the receptionist carried our bags to our room in the middle of the night. |We booked a room for 2 people only, but then had an extra person join us on the trip last-minute. The receptionist was so kind, and had a small twin-size bed put into our room to fit the third person.

Tripadvisor· 3 years agoStayed here for 1 night at the end of my Camino. Check in is at the Hotel Rua Villar close by. The receptionist could not be more welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room at Pension Rua Nova was small but spotlessly clean and comfortable. The shower was great. WiFi great in the room. Highly recommend.
