We stayed in the Birds Eye Suite at Art Hotel Santorini. This was our first holiday without the children, and we were really excited and looking forward to a relaxing, memorable stay — but unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing. The only real positives were the jacuzzi outside our room, which was warm, and the stunning sunset views from our roof and jacuzzi. The location was also great, less than a 10-minute walk to the main village. However, the service and maintenance let the hotel down badly. Breakfast was confusing and inconsistent — when I asked for a menu, I was told there wasn’t one and that they just serve a “selection.” I made it clear we don’t eat pork and was assured they don’t serve meat at all, yet our first breakfast arrived with bacon and eggs. On the second day, they removed the bacon and eggs and gave us a selection of bread, cakes, croissants, coffee, and juice, which was appreciated, but it would have been nice to have been offered another hot breakfast option instead. On our second day, the water was completely cold. We reported it to reception and were told it would be fixed in 20 minutes, but two hours later it was still cold. We ended up having to take cold showers so as not to miss more of the day. Another major downside is that reception is not 24 hours, and generally there are no staff on-site from around 2–3pm onwards. You’re given a WhatsApp number for any issues, which isn’t ideal if something goes wrong. There’s also no one to physically check you in if you arrive later than 3pm — instead, you’re given a piece of paper in a key safe with instructions on how to find your room. The bathroom leaked water constantly, and there were visible chips, marks, and cracks throughout the property. The ventilation fan was damaged and dirty, and even the outdoor bean bag lounger was ripped and fraying, which made the area feel uncared for. Overall, the room felt poorly maintained and not worth the price. As a travel agent who regularly reviews and recommends hotels to clients, I made this clear upon arrival — but there was no effort made to improve or accommodate our stay in any way. It’s such a shame because the hotel has real potential with its beautiful location and views, but the lack of care, poor maintenance, limited staff presence, and disappointing service left us feeling really let down — especially as this was meant to be a special trip.

Our stay at Art Hotel Santorini was absolutely wonderful! We booked the Nest Suite, which was incredibly spacious and impeccably clean. The highlight was the breath-taking view-our balcony and heated jacuzzi overlooked both the sea and the sunset, as well as the picturesque vineyards. It truly felt like we had the full package!|Breakfast was a daily delight, with a wide selection of fresh, local products, all beautifully prepared and baked. Every morning felt like a gourmet experience.|The location was excellent, offering easy access to both Perissa and Kamari beaches, while Fira was just a short 15-minute drive away. The charming village of Pyrgos also had plenty of great options for dinner and coffee, adding to the overall experience.|For anyone looking for a perfect blend of comfort, scenery and convenience, Art Hotel Santorini is an amazing choice. Highly recommended!

I had mixed feelings about Santorini, but the staff at this hotel completely changed my mind. Fragiskos was extremely helpful and polite, and Ivan welcomed us every morning with a smile while serving breakfast. Spotless rooms, excellent service — truly 10/10. It would be a mistake to stay anywhere else but Art Hotel.

The good: This is in a nice quiet location, abput a 10 minute walk from the Pyrgos city center. The suite we stayed in had a nice outdoor pool, which was great and looked over the area into the ocean, which made for some great sunset views. The breakfast was nice, being delivered to your room with some customization options. The staff were amazing and really friendly. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The bad: The room itself, while nice, had a few things that needed to be addressed. The toilet seat cover and seat itself were broken, so lifting them up and down was pointless. The blinds near the pool weren't working properly, and we had to struggle to move them. The area around the bed had a lot of cracks, and pieces of cement were peeling off. Overall, it was a nice hotel, but for the price, it needs a little work.

Hotel is based on a back road high up in Pyrgos. It's off a main road and the track itself is uneven and dusty with loads of big stones and ruts so be careful if you have a car.|The staff are friendly and welcoming, however, on day 2, I requested an iron and board and I'm still waiting for it! |We were in the 360 suite, which was very basic. Disappointed that although there were bigger and better rooms empty all week that we weren't granted an upgrade although we mentioned it. |On the top balcony you get a great view of the infamous sunset. |We only had breakfast 3 mornings as even the hot food was cool, I felt that there was no real attempt at keeping the food warm. |On our last day we requested that we keep the room or get another as we had a night flight and were told no (we were very willing to pay, I hasten to add). They only added one extra hour, meaning that we had to vacate our room at 1pm. Thankfully we had a car!|The hotel boasts an art gallery in its description, however, there wasn't any art to look at. |Every day there were power cuts, so some mornings we couldn't even boil the kettle for a coffee. |The pool bar was closed but probably because it's out of season. |Due to the location of this establishment, I'd encourage you to hire a car. Parking is at the side of the premises and on a building site!

Could be one of the best places have ever stayed such a nice place, clean modern and unique place. Great pool and hot tub. All staff so friendly and welcoming. Get to pick your breakfast on a form and is delivered to your balcony so relaxing. Close to the village. Rooms are so impressive didn’t want to leave great air conditioning, comfy beds and large tvs, the soaps were same as have had in 5* hotel all round just excellent can’t wait to return

I stayed here for 4 days and during no day of our stay did we consistently have hot water in the shower—only one single day there was briefly hot water. We spoke with neighbors who stayed longer and they experienced the same issue. A technician and another staff member came and managed to fix one shower temporarily, but soon after it turned cold again and no lasting solution was provided. On top of that, the bathroom had a broken mirror and damaged shower tiles. Very disappointing and frustrating experience overall.

We have been visiting Santorini for many years, and this year we discovered the Art Hotel in the beautiful village of Pyrgos, which truly impressed us. A lovely hotel, very clean, with beautiful decor and a delicious breakfast. The staff at the reception were extremely helpful and assisted us with everything we needed. We will definitely return! Thank you very much!
