We had a superb stay at the Shanhatian Resort hotel in Sanya. The staff and facilities were amazing. Greta was very helpful and kept us up to date with all information we needed about the hotel and transfers to the airport. The Reef restaurant was extremely well managed and the staff were obviously well trained. Every morning we were greeted with a welcoming smile and the staff practiced some English words every day, very sweet. Our cleaning lady was very friendly and kept the room spotless and well supplied with water, coffee etc. In summary a great hotel with awesome staff :-)

My stay at the Sanhaitian Resort Sanya was a mix of fantastic amenities and a few noticeable drawbacks, but overall a decent experience if you know what to expect. The property itself is beautiful, and despite the hotel having a lot of guests, the amenities never felt crowded. We spent three days utilizing the two huge outdoor pools, one on the first floor that is shallow and great for kids, and a warmer infinity pool on the third floor. Both stay open late and were wonderfully quiet. The rooms are incredibly spacious, featuring a large bathtub with a beautiful view and a balcony that offers stunning scenery during both the day and night. One of the absolute highlights is the breakfast buffet, which runs until 12 PM which is perfect if you want to sleep in! They offer a massive selection of Asian and Western food, including delicious Chinese wonton noodles, fresh fruit, baked goods, eggs, sausages, and dairy. The hotel's location is also a plus, situated right by the beach and next to the JW Marriott, making for a lovely coastal walk. Just keep in mind that the beach itself is quite dirty, so you'll likely prefer sticking to the hotel pools. There were a few downsides to our stay. None of the staff spoke English, though they did their best to communicate using translation machines. The rooms also weren't 100% clean; the balcony glass was quite dusty, and the shower had very minimal ventilation. Additionally, the pillows were incredibly soft, sinking completely and offering zero head support. Finally, I would skip dining at the hotel outside of breakfast, as the restaurants are quite overpriced. We ordered a snack platter with nachos, fries, sausages, and fried fish at the Casa Carona pool bar for around $20 AUD, and the portion was small, stale, and tasted terrible. Do yourself a favor and just order food delivery directly to the hotel through Alipay instead!

The room we were given was cheaper by $200. We booked two superior rooms for the family. When booking, they asked for a cot and two rooms nearby. As a result, we were not provided with a child's bed and were given one room of a reduced category (N1815) instead of a double bed, there were two single beds and the room smells very much of cigarettes. The hotel is not bad, but the management is poor.

Genuinely luxurious, and the room and view were breathtaking. The pool is excellent, and the breakfast was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had: a vast spread of stations covering everything from congee and dim sum to Western options such as eggs florentine, all of a very high standard. The hotel occupies one of the best positions on the bay, and that location is both its greatest asset and, unexpectedly, a minor irritant. The upper pool area attracted a near-constant stream of content creators, sometimes arriving with photographers, lighting equipment, and multiple costume changes, which made relaxing by the pool a slightly self-conscious experience at times. It didn’t ruin anything, but it is worth knowing. One practical and important note: the bay at this stretch of Sanya has strong rip tides. Red flags were flying on most days we were there. The pool is excellent; the sea is not suitable for swimming.

Stayed here in October 2024 and had a great stay! Amazing room and enjoyed the infinity pool which was fabulous to swim in the evening. The location is less commercial than other parts of Sanya and there are many local restaurants surrounding the hotel to try. Popular with Russian and domestic tourists. Hotel also very close to deer peak with gorgeous views of Sanya bay at sunset.

Our butler Jessie (5432) made us feel welcome during our stay in the hotel. She helped us by promptly replying to our requests and helping with any issues we had. During our last day we even got a late check-out for free and free coffees while waiting for a taxi!Our room was exceptionally clean. The AC is quiet and works very well. The hot tub fills up quickly and is very relaxing.The breakfast is awesome both in variety and quality. I ate so much there that my next meal after that was a dinner.The swimming pools, and the surrounding area are also very pleasant and clean. I stayed there for hours.

We’ve been coming here since 2017, and it’s still the best hotel on the Dadonghai coast - consistently.Rooms are designed with great taste and comfort, everything feels well thought out. Breakfast is on a gastronomic level, not just standard hotel food.Service and overall experience never disappoint. This is the place we always come back to.

I had a very pleasant stay in the resort. It is a great location. The staff are very friendly and very helpful when I have questions. The breakfast was very delicious with variety choices and selection menus. I also used their spa services and it was fabulous. I definitely like to return to this beautiful islands and will stay in this hotel. It gave me many unforgettable memories. .
