This is a great older big hotel. It's a little worn but what a great value.  The rooms are simple, but big enough even after a five night stay.  The view to the park or the mountain scape makes the room feel much bigger.  The beds and pillows are fine.  The bathtub size is large enough.  The breakfasts live up to the positive reviews. They do a set menu mixed with a buffet and the coffee is excellent.   The real charm of this hotel is that you can stroll through a beautiful park next door.  There's a beautiful little Japanese garden in the park as well. And of course, as always, the staff are just over the top fantastic, overflowing with kindness.   Thank you Japan!

Fine for quick transit overnight stay, park access is beautiful, but would not recommend for holiday or any length of stay. Was really looking forward to this 3 day stay with my daughter who lives in Tokyo. It was the start of our holiday in Hokkaido. But on checking in (tired after delayed flight), we were informed of a list of things not included eg daily house cleaning, and that we could not adjust the aircon. We were given a twin room that only had partial view of park which was disappointing but worst was there was only one of everything eg one mug, and no pyjama clothes. Mistakes happen. But when I phoned to ask for second mug etc, the attitude was cold and dour. It surprised me as I've become accustomed to such warm and helpful hospitality everywhere else I've stayed in Japan. The bedding was thin but I didn't dare phone again to ask for a blanket. Surprised too at noise level and the badly stained carpet outside our room. But most disappointing was the sour attitude of staff. Our time there was not made to feel special and it was, so sad about that.

One of the best hotels out of many we have stayed at in Japan. Perfect location, right in the park so very quiet and only a short walk from the station or 15 min walk to Susukino. The deluxe twin room is spacious, very comfortable with little extras like a coffee machine and a huge bathroom. Breakfast is superb, showcasing many Hokkaido specialities. A lovely cosy place to come back to after a day exploring, just in time to enjoy the free wine, juice, coffee and soup served in the guest lounge. Highly recommended!

Great hotel that we have been staying for this and last year visit to Sapporo. Room is relatively big and have great view of park. Unfortunately the room toilet bowl seems to be choking every day and we had to use common toilet at lobby in the morning though the staff is quick to get handyman to fix it wasn’t resolve permanently. Guest also have access to its lounge with free drinks and also view of the park. Overall a great 3 nights stay.

Enjoyed an overnight stay in an upper floor standard room overlooking the adjacent Nakajima Park. The bedroom and bathroom were modestly sized with furnishings somewhat tired and would benefit from refurbishment. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Nakajima-keen subway station which is on a direct line from Sapporo JR station. Similarly the lively entertainment and restaurant area of Susukino is a 15-20 minute walk or short subway ride away. Highlights were undoubtedly the view and access to the park for a morning run and an exceptional breakfast buffet including sparkling wine. Staff provided a warm welcome.

Great location. Highly recommend if you can get it for a good price. Right next to Nakajima Park and 5 mins from the subway. Susukino - 15 min walk, 10 min subway Odori - 25 min walk, 13 min subway Sapporo - 35 min walk, 15 min subway Rooms are comfortable and clean

My wife & I along with our 2 children (10 & 13) stayed for 7 nights in mid December 2025. After reading a few reviews prior to posting this one I'm wondering if the negative people were staying in the same hotel! We found the staff very friendly and helpful even when they don't speak English. We were in a twin room apartment positioned between the lift & stairs so we had no neighbours to worry about. The 2 rooms were huge, the smaller one for the kids had 2 beds, a table & chair and a TV, through the connecting door was the main suite, 2x beds, a desk, TV, coffee machine and a small lounge area with a sofa & coffee table. This room also had 3 huge wardrobes and the bathroom/WC with a separate twin basin washing area. As others have said it is slightly dated but it was clean and comfortable. Yes the AC would not cool and was set to heat, this is the same the world over when having a winter holiday. Reception advised us of this at check in and provided 2x fans upon request. Back in the room a quick Google lens translate of the AC control wall unit allowed me to leave the AC fan running with no heat, and within an hour the room temperature was perfect and was so for the next 6 nights. At breakfast there is a buffet and a main dish is provided which changes each day, an example of this was "Hamburg steak with 4 kinds of Hokkaido cheese, pickled purple cabbage, grilled bacon, flounder fritter with porcini & enoki sauce". The server was puzzled when we declined this main dish, after using Google translate to advise him we did not eat pork he went away and returned with dishes complete without any pork items, substituting with additional items, all beautifully presented. Each day after this we were given the main dish without pork and without asking, excellent service. Other items in the buffet are all clearly marked with their ingredients. My favourite item was the local chicken curry soup, I had it everyday! The kids particularly liked the waffles and they were delicious, I saw why, the chef was using raw all butter croissants' and cooking them in a waffle maker, we have stolen this idea and now do this at home, yummy! The hotel location is 500m from the metro line and 300m from the circle street car line. Directly behind the hotel is Nakajima Park which is very pretty, this is where exit 3 of the metro is. There are multiple convenience stores and restaurants nearby. During our stay we borrowed sledges from the Hotel and played in the park. Each night free drinks were provided in the lounge area which was nice. On one night we ate at the hotel Japanese restaurant and had the Chicken Sukiyaki and Shrimp & Seafood Tempura set meals which were both excellent. This hotel was fantastic value, offered great service and the rooms we had were the biggest we have ever had on any of our Japanese holidays. Strongly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were very kind and took great care of the guests. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the view was absolutely beautiful. The room was comfortable and well equipped with all the necessary facilities. There was also a great variety of food to enjoy. I truly had a lovely experience here.
