Richmond Hotel Sapporo Ekimae is always my first choice in Sapporo This is my third stay in Richmond Hotel Sapporo Ekimae during my entire month's trip in Hokkaido. I have not been able to book my second and third stay before I left Europe, so I kept checking and finally got the rooms and am so pleased with all the services and hospitality from the very friendly and polite staff. I have already reviewed after my first stay, as mentioned in my previous review, I have stayed in the Richmond Hotel since the year 2000's and they have never disappointed me. This time, I messaged them before our arrival and informed them of my ETA and the car type I rented, and upon our arrival they have already helped arrange the carparking space for our rental car. Their helpfulness and great arrangement really exceeded our expectation. I must thank all the staff here for everything they have helped us through, which made all our three stays during this Hokkaido trip seamless and easy. About the hotel: -location: within walking distance between Sappporo Train Station and Susukino, excellent location -breakfast: 5 options to choose from, full set Japanese breakfast with grilled fish, full set Sashimi breakfast with Salmon and Salmon Roe, Crab Porridge breakfast set, Western Breakfast set, and Kids set. I always choose the full grilled fish set, you can opt for less rice if you find the set large -amenities: amenities available at the reception area, just take what u need -language: this trip amazes me as most of their staff speaks very good English, I have to specifically praise two male staff who checked us in during our first stay on 30 May, and our last stay on 16 June, their hospitality and professionalism gives me great comfort despite we were very tired after a long flight on 30 May and after a long road trip on 16 June

Richmond Hotel Sapporo Ekimae is always my first choice in Sapporo| |I have been with Richmond Hotel for long time and everytime I travel to Hokkaido, I would stay a few days with them. Over the decade, I witnessed and experienced their continuous improvements no matter in terms of room facilities, staff service, and breakfast options. Cant fault on anything with them. Once again, they have exceeded my expectations and I will definitely return again if I travel to Sapporo again. I travelled to Hokkaido and arranged roadtrips in the area for a month. I stayed in Richmond three times during the month, whenever I need to return to Sapporo to get an overnight or few days' rest, Richmond Hotel Sapporo Ekimae is my choice, and I do not regret it. My first stay during this trip was just after our long flight from Europe when we most needed good rest and comfortable hassle free environment. We booked a non-smoking twin room which is spacious enough for all our luggage. We had a good rest for a few days and walked around the city and we head off for our road trip. After around 2 weeks we returned again with a few more members of our family. I messaged them before my stay advising them of my ETA and the made and model of my rental car. They had so diligently and professional arranged everything upon our arrival. We stayed one night and then head off for another road trip. After a few days we returned again and as expected, they have also arranged everything for us and know our needs and helped us checked in swiftly so we can rest immediately Their helpfulness and great arrangement really exceeded our expectation. Kindly note that it is not a fancy or luxury hotel, but as a business hotel it exceeded well beyond my expectation and as a loyal fan for the last 20+ years, I am pleased to see that the group is expanding and growing well, and the training of their staff has gone better and better. If I ever travel so far again, the Richmond Hotel Group will definitely be in my top list.

We stayed in a Twin Room and were very pleased with the extra space. Unlike many hotels in Sapporo, we actually had enough room to open our suitcases, and the beds were quite comfortable. The location is perfect—just a short walk from JR Sapporo Station, which made arriving from the airport very easy.The hotel is very clean and the staff are professional, but I have one specific tip for female travelers: The dryer in the women's laundry room is quite weak. Even after adding an extra 100 yen for extension time, my clothes were still damp and didn't fully dry. If you have a large load, you might want to use a nearby coin laundry instead or plan for extra time.Aside from the laundry issue, it was a fantastic stay and we would definitely return for the location and the comfortable room layout!

Very good location close to the station. Room bigger than average in Japan. Comfortable bedding and very clean. Very quiet. Coin laundry on 2 floors with a water boiler and cooler on our floor at least. Probably on all floors.

To be honest, I believe three-star hotels should focus on offering high-quality basic amenities. The rooms have a simple, clean design, and I prefer breakfast to be served as a buffet rather than a set meal.(anyway the food still nice). During my recent stay, I noticed they provided a water dispenser on every floor and an amenity area beside the front desk, which was convenient. However, the lobby only had two large sofas, leaving no proper place for guests to relax after a long day of shopping. It felt like I was confined to my tiny room (with friends) nowhere else to go. This was a big contrast to my experiences at Richmond Hotel Tokyo Schole \ and Richmond Hotel Sendai Ekimae, both of which were much more relaxing and comfortable."

The utmost professional staff EVER! Check in was easy, check out was easy. Extremely clean rooms. You can tell the meticulous care to staff takes by using a special formula to clean the mirrors, so that while the giant mirror fogs up, there's still a section that says unfogged and usable.

I had a very pleasant stay at Richmond Hotel Sapporo Ekimae. The room was clean and well maintained, with housekeeping done every day. Towels were changed daily, which I really appreciated. Even the bathroom was spotless and well kept throughout my stay.The staff were friendly, polite, and very welcoming, which made the experience even better. One highlight was the breakfast service — it was excellent and is a full meal course. You can choose from six different set options, all of which were satisfying and well prepared.Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The location is convenient, about a 15–20 minute walk to Sapporo Station. Getting around is easy as Sapporo has many interconnected underground walkways, which is especially helpful during cold or snowy days.

Chose the hotel based on location to the station, bedroom slightly bigger than some others, and the breakfast. The room is fine, space enough for both sets of luggage and us. Bed nice although pillows a little harder than I prefer. Good staff and service. Breakfast was a real winner. If you only like continental then you may not enjoy as much, but other options were very well received. Overall, a good few days.
