The location is absolutely unbeatable—it sits right along the Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade, meaning you can walk to countless restaurants, shops, and a Mega Don Quijote completely shielded from the weather. It’s also just a short walk to the Susukino station and Odori Park, and the airport bus stop is only a couple of minutes away. The hotel itself feels modern and clean. We loved the indoor public bath (onsen style) which was the perfect way to unwind after walking around the city all day. The Lounge IRORI was also a lovely touch with the free drinks and a cozy kids' corner. The breakfast buffet had an amazing spread of local Hokkaido specialties and is highly recommended. The only minor downside is that the standard rooms are quite compact, which is typical for central city hotels in Japan. If you travel with a lot of heavy luggage, it can feel a little tight, but the clever room layout and cleanliness made up for it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again!

You honestly cannot beat the location of this hotel. Everything from shopping to public transport is right at your doorstep, so I would highly recommend booking here if you are visiting Sapporo. The room is on the smaller side, but that is pretty standard for major cities in Japan. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, and they provide all the extra amenities and conveniences you might need, like umbrellas and a luggage scale. The breakfast was okay overall. There are plenty of options and great service, though the quality fell a bit short compared to other hotels we stayed at in Hokkaido. It is heavily focused on Asian breakfast choices rather than Western ones, which was fine by me, and I especially enjoyed the sushi and salmon roe.

Really great hotel for staying in Sapporo city centre. I would love to stay in Kararksa Hotel Sapporo next time. All the staff are really helpful. And I want specific thank to Miss Saiki for recommend and help reservation for some dinning place. Because of the great service of Karaksa Sapporo, my family will consider stay in Karaksa in Osaka/Tokyo too in future. ADD-ON : I forget to mention. Their breakfast is really great! I will strongly suggest must take the room including breakfast package!

We were a group of 5 friends staying in two connected rooms (6 beds). The arrangement of the connected rooms is perfect - we could hang out when we wanted, and go back to our individual spaces as and when. The hotel is located very conveniently on susukino street, and made getting around incredibly easy at any time of the day. The rooms are typically sized but not cramped to the point of discomfort. The lounge had welcome drinks and mini ice cream which we enjoyed very much. It was a very comfortable stay; will book again when we're back in sapporo. I highly recommend this hotel for groups.

Excellent location with back entrance opening straight to the 狸小路 shopping area. Walking distance to many eateries. Staff are very friendly and hotel uses technology quite well. Onsen and Lounge are good.

**My Review of Karaksa Hotel Sapporo** I stayed at Karaksa Hotel Sapporo for a few nights and was really happy with the choice. The location is easily the best part. The hotel sits right on Tanukikoji Shopping Street with a direct entrance onto the covered arcade. Susukino Station, Don Quijote, restaurants, and Odori Park are all within easy walking distance. It felt like the perfect base for exploring central Sapporo. The room was compact (as expected in a Japanese city hotel) but very clean and thoughtfully designed. The toilet and shower were separate, which made it convenient, and the bed was comfortable. They also provided free pajamas every day, which was a nice touch. For a family or group, the connecting rooms look like a smart option. I especially liked the facilities on the 2nd floor. There’s a public onsen and the lounge with free drinks, snacks, and ice cream was a great bonus — my kids loved it. Staff were friendly and helpful, and a few could speak English, which made check-in smooth. Breakfast was solid if you take the buffet — good variety with some Hokkaido specialties. Minor points: the room isn’t huge, so if you have a lot of luggage it can feel a bit tight. The onsen can get busy at peak times, and the shower floor in the room felt quite cold in winter. Parking is limited and paid if you’re driving. Overall, I’d happily stay here again. Clean, convenient, good value, and the location is hard to beat. Highly recommended if you want to be in the middle of everything in Sapporo.

Staying at Karaksa Hotel Sapporo made it very easy to get around the city. I liked being able to step outside and quickly find places to eat, shop, and grab anything I needed nearby. It felt like a really convenient base for exploring Sapporo, especially if you want to spend time around Susukino and keep everything simple.

Great location near Susukino. You can walk out of the hotel and immediately find lots of restaurants, shops, and convenience stores around the area. It’s a perfect spot if you enjoy exploring the city, shopping, and trying different local foods. The room size is decent for Japan standards and comfortable for two people, not too small. Being right in the city center makes it very convenient to walk to many famous restaurants and nightlife spots. After a long day of walking around, the onsen in the hotel is a great way to relax and rest your body. It’s definitely one of the best parts of staying here.
