From walking into reception it felt like home, the lady at reception was lovely. Maybe it was home? Beautiful rooms, no noise, clean as a pin! Pool area was really nice, ample parking and the breakfast was superb! The lady recommend the medieval town for my evening, the walk down nearly killed me and I can walk for a fair while! Steep and steep! But you can drive down and there is parking! Tis good exercise though! Beautiful area and a lovely little stop for me whilst touring through France!

We found a lot to like about Le Mas del Pechs. They were very welcoming right from the check-in. The room was clean and modern. They went out of their way to accommodate us, to the point of setting up a candlelight dinner for us in the breakfast room so that we could finish our picnic leftovers! Free parking is a nice perk, and although the weather didn't cooperate, the outdoor pool looked lovely. It is a bit out of the town, on the top of a hill. We decided to walk into Sarlat instead of trying to find parking, and the 20-minute walk back to the hotel is straight uphill--not for the faint of heart. Overall, a fantastic 4 night stay, and a perfect place to stay if you're exploring the Dordogne by car.

Delightful hotel above the historic center of Sarlat. Close enough to walk (a very short drive) but well-away from the crowds for a quiet, peaceful sleep. Rooms are impeccably clean and reception is pleasant, polite and professional. Would absolutely stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel located at the edge of town in a tranquil, quiet setting. The room was large, clean and comfortable with a private patio just outside. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in a very nice setting with plenty of good choices. For most people, visiting the sites of the historic old town will require a car as the hotel in located in an elevated location above the town. This is a place we would definitely return.

I originally wanted a hotel closer to the centre of Sarlat, but we booked Hotel le Mas del Pechs based on the good reviews. We were not disappointed! Anne-Marie is a wonderful hostess, extremely friendly and helpful. When we arrived for a late check-in following a long day of travel, we were worried there would not be any restaurants still open in town. She quickly gave us detailed directions into town and provided us with some yogurt, fruit and cheese in case we didn't make it in time. This was totally above and beyond, especially as she had already stayed late to check us in. The hotel itself is wonderful. Clean, modern rooms and the area is very quiet. We slept extremely well, with the only disturbance being a rooster crowing across the street the next morning. Welcome to France! You have a sense of being on the edge of town, but the centre of Sarlat is actually very close - less than 5 min by car, or a nice 15 min walk through a very nice residential area. We enjoyed the exercise and the town is beautiful, but the walk back to the hotel is up a relatively steep hill so be ready for that. The room itself was immaculate, the bed was comfortable, and the whole property very well kept. Unfortunately the pool wasn't open for the season yet, but I imagine summers here would be outstanding. The hotel has its own parking lot so it was nice not to have to worry about finding a spot at the end of the day, and the location makes it easy to get out of town to go sightseeing without having to deal with any traffic. Overall we had a great experience. It turned out to be the ideal base for our 4-day visit and I would recommend Hotel le Mas del Pechs to anyone looking for a hotel in Sarlat. The next time we are in the area, we will most certainly stay there again!

We spent two nights at the Hotel le Mas del Pechs recently and enjoyed the clean room and quiet setting. Only five minutes to the center of Sarlat, it is a great location, and in a very quiet rural area. The rooms are large and very clean, with modern decor and large bathrooms. The proprietor is charming and very helpful, and speaks English quite well, which was a huge plus for us. She gave us recommendations for dining in town, even making reservations for us to a great restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would gladly return if our travels take us through this charming part of France again.

A great place to stay, |Rooms super clean and comfortable. Air con in room. Nice powerful shower|Tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge in the room.|Tv in the room if you want it.We had a room facing the garden and pool which had a nice privacy hedge so you can sit on your own patio Edith table and chairs on it.|Breakfast was extra but very nice and set us up for the day.Anne-Marie was super helpful and knowledgeable and spoke great English which was fantastic.|Great location for all local sites.|You want be disappointed |Thank you.

This hotel is located just outside the city of Sarlat. It is a smaller hotel (I believe family run) on 1 level with a large pool and outdoor eating patio. There is free parking on site. Our room was quite spacious for a hotel in France with a modern shower, bathroom, and a seperate toilet.The bed was comfortable and the room clean. There were sliding glass doors out to a small patio area with a table, chairs and an umbrella where it was nice to sit and relax after a day of sight seeing. The room is also air conditioned. The woman who owns/manages the hotel is reserved but lovely and kind. She speaks some English, was very helpful with directions, and even made us sandwiches and a drink when we arrived hungry and tired. You eat breakfast in a large, bright, glassed in room overlooking the pool and outdoor patio. You can also chose to eat outside. The food was excellent! There were more choices and variety than at any of our other accommodations in France. It is a short drive into town where you park in free designated parking lots unless you find street parking. It is also a good base for exploring other sights in the area including the Lascaux International Centre. I do highly recommend this hotel.
