I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The lobby lounge was stylish and comfortable, with inviting seating and a beautifully designed interior. The restaurant was equally impressive, featuring a warm atmosphere, comfortable booth seating, and plenty of natural light. Both spaces felt thoughtfully designed and relaxing, making them lovely places to unwind. I’d happily visit again!

Such a lovely stay. A beautiful hotel on the interior in a convenient location. The staff is the reason that this was a perfect stay.|The ones that stood out in particular were the manager, Stefan, the front desk agent, Ismael, the bartender, Kelly, the server, Julian, and Chef Josey (I hope I’m spelling her name right). All of those staff members that I’ve encountered were extremely kind and helpful and embodied Kimpton Culture. Whenever im back in Seattle, im only staying at this hotel! A great place!

The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood with walking distance to the light rail, the waterfront, and most nicely, Lumen Field. My room was of decent size and clean. No slippers were placed in the room. If this is an effort to reduce waste by only providing upon request, then I would applaud it. In fact, I did not request for a it as I only stayed for one night.|Staff were nice and attentive.|The bar closed earlier than I would expect from hotel at this level (10pm).

The valet and front desk staff were polite, warm and welcoming, and knowledgeable. The hotel and rooms are modern and clean and in good location. We were able to walk to all places we visited while there. Hotel was quiet despite being in the city. Bed was nice and slept well. Gym was nice and had all equipment I needed. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant served good food at fair price.

The good: --Conveniently located in tourist central|--Comfy bed, clean and nicely updated room with decent sound-proofing on the windows|--Nicely detailed bathroom with a good shower|--Free wine hour with a good red and white wine|--Very pleasant staff|--Two robes supplied |The bad: --When we arrived (during wine hour) there was amplified live entertainment that was so loud we found ourselves and the desk person yelling at each other to try and be heard. We were able to get our room, but never heard the desk person tell us that there was the dreaded $28 per day "resort fee." Had we heard this, we could have tried to burn it off. But since we didn't... So that was annoying. --The single free AM coffee urn was often quickly emptied and when it was refilled things like coffee cup tops would still be missing. --While all the staff were very pleasant, the hotel did seem to be understaffed. Going back to the coffee station, the solo person (which wasn't infrequent) at the front desk in the AM also had to replace the giant coffee urn when it ran out. — which seemed pretty odd. It wasn't like she had nothing to do. --No one ever came to make up our room the second night, which was also pretty annoying. --What's with the robes? It was like they were made out of sack cloth or rug pads you put under a living room rug. I thought Kimpton was known for their comfy robes — and they were in past stays for us. Very strange. You don't want your robe to hurt you. For the price paid (about $500 per night including all fees, including the ones we literally didn't hear about) you'd expect a bit more, especially when all of our criticisms are essentially management issues. We'll try someplace else next time.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during a trip to Seattle, and the experience was consistently pleasant from start to finish. The location was excellent and made it easy to get around the city. Valet parking was convenient and well managed, which added a layer of ease to our stay. The hotel itself was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which stood out immediately upon arrival and continued throughout our visit. We were in Washington primarily to explore the Spokane area after our son was admitted to Gonzaga University, and we decided to spend a couple of days in Seattle beforehand. It turned out to be a great decision. The atmosphere during our stay was especially vibrant due to the FIFA World Cup events in the city, which added energy and excitement without feeling overwhelming. The front desk staff member we interacted with was exceptional—professional, welcoming, and efficient. The breakfast was also a highlight, with both the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the breakfast staff exceeding expectations. Overall, the stay was comfortable, quiet, and well run. Even the other guests we encountered were respectful and pleasant, which contributed to a calm and enjoyable environment. We would absolutely stay here again on a future visit to Seattle.

The Kimpton Monaco Seattle is a nice midrange hotel in a great area of the city. The staff are exceptional, and I really wanted to like the property, but there are some basic functional issues with the hotel itself that prevent me from rating it higher. A four or certainly five-star hotel will have a bar that stays open past 9pm. It will have an HVAC system that actually cools the room to the temperature you set and keep it consistent. It will have a TV/entertainment system that has more than basic cable, one that allows you to watch local channels to see CBS and FOX to watch college football on Saturdays and NFL on Sundays. Yes, these are first-world problems but the hospitality sector is very competitive, and there are many spectacular places to rest your head that do not have these issues. I'll most likely choose one of them next visit.

Just came home from a three night stay here as a family of four with two kids. The hotel was recently renovated and it is gorgeous and so clean: both the lobby and our room. The front desk staff was beyond helpful offering ideas above and beyond what we initially inquired about on multiple occasions. The rooms were made up daily. The complimentary morning coffee and tea were delicious. We truly had a wonderful stay here and would recommend it!
