If you want to be right where the action is in Shanghai, Seventh Heaven Hotel is tough to beat. The location is perfect—situated right on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, you step out the front door straight into the brilliant madness and energy of the city. The rooms are straightforward and sufficient for a city-center stay. Nothing overly fancy, but everything you need for a comfortable trip: • Bed: Very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after walking all day. • Bathroom: Good, hot running water with steady pressure. • Cleanliness: Excellent service from housekeeping; the room was cleaned and tidied daily. If you’re looking for a reliable, super central base to explore Shanghai without paying premium luxury prices, this hotel does the job well. I’d happily stay here again for the unbeatable location alone.

Overall it was a pleasant stay because it is in the smack.of Nanking East road. Breakfast not provided and the building is.quite.ancient Bed is big but uncomfortable because it's hard and pillows.are.super thin. So it's up to you to decide....location or comfort

the hotel's location is very accessible :) though you need to climb the 7 stairs towards the elevator before you can go to the lobby or designated floor assigned. i found the family suite big and request for extra bed costs rmb200 per night

The hotel was perfectly clean and very easy to locate even when our maps weren't working. It's in a fantastic location on Nanjing Walking Street, near everything you might need and two great Metro stations. We did have to ask them about the aircon which was pumping heat out even on the lowest setting, but it is set centrally and was set to 'warm' (it was the end of March - everyone was wearing a coat except us!) - so we turned it off and the room cooled nicely. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat. It's not the newest place in the world but it is perfectly decent.

I had a wonderful stay at Seventh Heaven Hotel Shanghai. The hotel is right in the center of the main tourist area, making it extremely convenient to explore the city’s attractions, shops, and restaurants. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a pleasant base for sightseeing. Its central location truly made our stay easy and enjoyable.

Great position, the staff at the reception was very nice and friendly, helpful and speaking English well. The building is old, I found some black hair on the floor of the bathroom and the bedsheets had a couple of holes from cigarettes. But for a short stay is perfect because of the location. AC is great, mattress is hard (but I like that).

Seventh Heaven hotel is a relative old hotel for Shanghai but well maintained. The location of the hotel directly at the busiest Nanjing walking street is certainly his main positive aspect and despite that, it is very quiet in the rooms. The hop-in hop-off touristic bus stops just in front of the hotel which is very convenient.

The hotel's own Restaurant, The Old Shanghai Restaurant, serves Szechuan and Cantonese dishes. The Lobby bar and Bar are right there for drinks and snacks, and a café offers light bites. Step outside onto Nanjing Road and you'll find local favorites: 小楊生煎 for pan-fried buns, 南翔饅頭店 for xiaolongbao, and 老正興 for Shanghainese red-braised pork. All are within a short stroll along the pedestrian street.
