I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was absolutely perfect—clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options, and everything was fresh and well-prepared.The service was truly superb throughout my stay. I would especially like to thank Sicily Yuan for her outstanding hospitality. She took care of me exceptionally well and made sure everything was perfect. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made my experience even more memorable.I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again!

Fantastic location in centre, close to restaurants, metro, shopping. Breakfast is yummy and a total feast. Great options for vegetarians too. Rooms spacious with all the amenities. In the evening they have a DJ or band playing in the foyer and it's such a vibe. Great team always making you feel welcome especially Felix Zhang at concierge services. He helped me with an order and stayed back later than his shift to ensure I got it delivered to the room & everything was fine. I felt so guilty, and asked him to go home, but Felix was so kind and insisted to help. I have no words, he went over and beyond. He's definitely an asset to the team. Thank you so much. We're checking out tomorrow and will miss Shanghai. Thank you for making it memorable, I definitely recommend the hotel for anyone coming here! :)

The location is good with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. It's a very upmarket neighbourhood. The metro is about 5 minutes walk away. The service was great from everyone we dealt with. We had their excellent buffet breakfast (very good pastries) and a dinner at the Tang Court which is worthy of its Michelin inclusion. We thought that the room rate was good value for the quality (though expensive for China). The food, though very good, is pricey.

Phenomenal hotel. Huge shoutout to Mr. Yuan at the bell desk who helped us with dining recommendations. Hotel has a great Wifi (Including a built in VPN) and Location is great in French Concession). Rooms are pretty nice. Breakfast for AmEx FHR bookers is minimal. The a la carte menu isn't included but the buffet was solid (Vegetarians may run into some issues with finding good main courses). There was, however, an incident that made me feel uncomfortable. I brought my parents into my room to discuss flight and packing plans, and we got a call from the front desk asking for all guests to be registered (My parents were also guests at the hotel). I suspect this isn't because they want higher than booked occupancy, but considering that nobody said hi at the hotel as we entered, it raised some concerns that we were being watched over the camera. I read through more reviews after this incident and this isn't an isolated incident it seems. I think there are some better ways to handle this.

Travelled to China in December 2025, but have some special requirements as my daughter has allergies to wheat/gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts and sesame. As a result, we have done significant research to find hotels and restaurants which can cater for her special dietary needs. We informed the hotel and staff of our daughter’s special dietary needs and they were incredibly accomodating. There were two chefs who prepared special dishes for our daughters using the gluten free sauces we provided. Chef Mark and Chef Stally. Chef Mark, in particular merits a special mention and our deepest gratitude. He was so vested in preparing a safe and delicious meal for our daughter that he stayed back after his shift had finished to prepare a delicious meal that our daughter could safely eat. Not only is Chef Mark skilful in cooking, his attention towards us and genuine concern and warmth deeply touched us. The other excellent Langham staff member is manager Levi Li. He was fantastic. He communicated with us and had discussions with the chefs concerning our needs. It seemed that Levi was always around whenever we needed him, whether it was at breakfast or dinner, Levi was ready to provide whatever assistance he could. His warmth, sincerity and approachable nature was very obvious. The above are only two of the outstanding staff. The rest were all also incredibly lovely and helpful. The concierge/door staff were very patient, kind and helpful to my elderly mother. The Langham hotel is a very modern hotel located right in the heart of Xintiandi and close to the Christmas lights and numerous shops. The rooms are spacious, modern and have great views. The hotel also has an excellent gym, pool and sauna. The buffet breakfast had lots of food options, both local cuisines as well as a great international selection. Many famous locations are all within walking distance or a short Didi ride away. The Hotel provided us (as part of our package) a one-off complimentary ride in the Pink Cab to destinations within 5kms, as well as complimentary drinks and snacks in the Club Lounge. My daughter so wanted to ride the pink cab that we took a Didi ride from where we were back to the hotel, only to take the Pink Cab back to virtually the same place we started! The Pink Cab definitely turned heads on the streets of Shanghai. We cannot recommend the Langham Hotel enough. It is a wonderful hotel in a great location, but most importantly it is staffed by people who genuinely care about guests’ needs and work hard to make sure you have a great stay.

Excellent service. Good location. Rooms are spacious. Wonderful dining experience. Personal touch with birthday wishes and complementary birthday cake. What a pleasant surprise! Music under water in the swimming pool is an usual experience. Definitely stay here again at next visit.

I enjoyed my stay here, the service is indeed praiseworthy. There are hotel staff standing near the reception who proactively approach and ask if you need help. I was very appreciative that, despite arriving at the hotel early at 8am, we were allowed into the spa restroom to freshen up – it had a shower, sauna, hairdryer and drinking water. The club room is a fantastic choice as it gives you access to the club lounge. It was great to have the lounge space to relax in, have afternoon tea, and there was even food available during happy hour. We had the option of breakfast in the lounge or in Cachet the lobby restaurant; I would highly recommend the latter as the breakfast buffet there was very good with lots of variety, much more than was available in the club lounge. There were some areas that could be improved, eg. the toilet in the hotel room itself was too dimly lit, the noodle soup and omelette at breakfast were not tasty, and while the doormen were mostly attentive they somehow couldn’t help us speak on our mobile with the Didi driver who claimed he couldn’t find the hotel entrance and then cancelled our booking(!) Overall the hotel experience was excellent and I would return, as well as recommend it to my family and friends.

The staff on level 27 in the Club were delightful, each presented themselves fully and so professionally to assist my wife and I during our stay. Special mention to Loretta and Shirley who led their teams so aptly. Thank you Tina, Harriet, Alex, Lydia and Mr Bo. The suite we booked was well appointed and ideally located with easy access to metro and a beautiful neighborhood. The only thing we would change would be the mattress, which would have been okay for a night or two, but after the third and fourth, it created enough residual hip pain to mention here. Hoping they may be up for replacement soon! Overall, an outstanding stay with wonderful people.
