Google· 3 months agoWe originally booked through Trip.com at a lower rate. However, after exchanging several emails with Sarai Resort & Wander about their direct booking package, which included complimentary airport pickup by hotel minivan and spa benefits, we cancelled our original reservation and booked directly with the hotel at a higher price, expecting a more personalised luxury experience from the moment we arrived. Unfortunately, our arrival did not reflect what had been promised. Both the booking confirmation and our email correspondence stated that airport pickup would be by hotel minivan, yet we were collected in an older private car operated by an independent driver. This is not a criticism of the driver, who was friendly, courteous and professional throughout the journey, but simply that the service provided did not match what had been advertised. No bottled water or cold towels were offered during the transfer. At check-in, the receptionist was warm and welcoming, explained the breakfast arrangements and offered us a refreshing welcome drink. However, there were no cold towels, no assistance with our luggage and we were not escorted to our room. We also struggled to locate Room 115 because the corridor signage only displayed Rooms 108–114, so we eventually had to ask a member of staff for directions. These may seem like small details, but they are exactly the kind of thoughtful touches expected at a luxury resort and they shape a guest’s first impression. The Deluxe Room itself was spacious, clean and very comfortable, with plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom was beautifully finished with high-quality fittings, solid taps and shower fixtures, a luxurious bathtub and elegant limestone walls that created a genuine sense of luxury. The silky hand wash, premium bathroom amenities and comfortable leather-filled slippers were thoughtful touches. A couple of practical improvements would be adding towel hooks and placing bath products beside the bathtub for greater convenience. The resort itself is beautifully designed, with stunning Moroccan-inspired architecture, lush tropical gardens and a peaceful swimming pool that creates a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. The sun loungers were exceptionally comfortable, with thick premium cushions that made it easy to spend hours relaxing. Throughout our stay, both the reception and restaurant teams were consistently warm, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was enjoyable, although the selection felt somewhat limited for a luxury resort. Freshly squeezed watermelon juice was available, but the remaining juices appeared to be syrup-based rather than freshly prepared. As first-time visitors to Cambodia, we had heard so much about the country’s renowned hospitality, so our initial arrival experience was disappointing. While still staying at the resort, I contacted management to share our concerns. The following day, Guest Relations Manager Ms Issariya Kayasit personally met with us, listened attentively, sincerely apologised and immediately acted on our feedback. As a thoughtful gesture of goodwill, applied 🙏 and hotel arranged our transfer to the bus station using their own minivan, delivering the level of comfort and service we had originally expected. When we returned to our room, we were also pleased to find the bathtub fully prepared with the missing bath amenities. Our sincere thanks go to Ms Issariya Kayasit for her professionalism, genuine care and commitment to guest satisfaction. Although our stay did not begin as we had hoped, the way the management responded demonstrated that they truly value guest feedback. Everyone can make mistakes, but it is how those mistakes are resolved that defines outstanding hospitality, and thanks to their efforts, we left with a far more positive impression than when we first arrived.

Google· 3 months agoMy wife and I recently stayed in a Prestige Pool Suite at Sarai Resort & Spa and it was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. The hotel is beautifully appointed, immaculately maintained, and every area reflects the high standards the team clearly takes pride in. Our suite was spacious, luxurious, and meticulously cleaned throughout our stay. Housekeeping and room service were consistently excellent, and the restaurant served outstanding food with attentive and friendly service. What truly sets Sarai apart, however, is its people. A special thank you to Naza, Daren and Nopol, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Their warmth, professionalism and genuine care made us feel incredibly welcome. We would also like to recognise Nola, Tom, Rotha and Lita, who were equally wonderful throughout our visit. A particular thank you goes to Mr Hong, the Hotel Manager, who personally ensured our stay met the exceptional standards Sarai strives to achieve. His attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction were evident throughout our stay. During our visit, flooding unfortunately made the gym unavailable. Rather than simply apologising, the hotel arranged access to an alternative gym and provided transport, demonstrating their commitment to ensuring guests were not inconvenienced. Sarai Resort & Spa delivers luxury accommodation, outstanding service and genuine hospitality. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Siem Reap.

Google· 2 months agoEverything about this stay exceeded my expectations. The resort is beautiful, the staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, and everyone was always willing to help with a smile. I loved my room on the second floor with the private pool. The pool was spotless and perfect for unwinding after sightseeing. The bathroom was probably my favorite part of the room. I really appreciated the separate shower, bathtub, and toilet—it made the space feel luxurious and very practical. The overall design of the resort is gorgeous. Every corner is thoughtfully decorated, creating a relaxing and elegant atmosphere. The only downside is that it’s not the most convenient location if you plan to walk to Pub Street. It’s possible, but I personally wouldn’t recommend walking back late at night. That said, tuk-tuks are inexpensive and the ride only takes about 10–15 minutes, so it really wasn’t a problem for me. I’d happily stay here again.

The rooms are well-appointed, breakfast is delicious, and the staff genuinely cares about making your stay special. Excellent value for money and a fantastic location.

Location: It's close to many high quality restaurants within walking distance or a short grab, but still quiet enough that you can relax. Amenities: there is a beautiful pool, small gym, and restaurant on site. The restaurant is where breakfast is served and we found it quite good and reasonably priced.

Google· 3 months agoWe got a room facing the swimming pool which is lovely to look at. The resort is very clean, well maintained, and has a romantic ambiance. Services are excellent - from receptions, room services, restaurant staff, security & etc all have been very helpful, friendly and courteous. This resort earned a very good reputation among the locals.

The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The service was excellent, and everything made me feel relaxed and well taken care of.
