Five nights here. A beautiful, stylish and well curated property. A very comfortable bed with excellent linen in a large room with efficient air conditioning. The pool and surrounds are spacious and serene. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier. It is a 2km (uphill) walk into Siena, but we did it every day. The small chapel on the hill and the chapel inside the hotel were unexpected treats and well worth seeing. The restaurant is highly rated, but we preferred simpler fare in town. We could have lounged around the pool and read books for another month with no regrets.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Certosa Di Maggiano recently. The staff, especially Ricardo and Antonio, are so wonderfully friendly, helpful, and attentive to your needs. We celebrated a birthday with a wonderful dinner, the food was excellent, which also goes for the buffet breakfast. The rooms are amazing and the pool is fantastic. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Could not recommend highly enough.

Response from the property

Thank you for such a wonderful review. We are delighted that your stay, and especially your birthday celebration, was so memorable. We will be sure to share your kind words with Ricardo and Antonio, who will be thrilled to know they helped make your experience special. It means a great deal to us to be described as one of the best places you have ever stayed. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Certosa di Maggiano for another unforgettable occasion.

We had a wonderful stay at Certosa di Maggiano. The fact that it’s a former monastery gives the whole place a very special atmosphere: full of history, character and quiet charm. It’s not overly polished or overly luxurious, which is precisely part of its appeal. The breakfast outdoors with the breathtaking Tuscan landscape around you was unforgettable. Beautiful pool, total tranquility and a real sense of sensory wellbeing throughout the property. Service was impeccable throughout our stay. A very peaceful and authentic place to disconnect.

Just an amazingly lovely place to stay. Beautiful, stylish, relaxed, spacious. Great service, friendly and warm. An amazing setting in an old monastery, really nicely done. Lovely big swimming pool and space to hang out without feeling like other people are all over you. Not unduly fancy or over-the-top - the rooms are nice without being amazing - but it’s the sort of place where you don’t hang out in your room because there are so many better places to be. Location is great - you can get a shuttle into Siena but have the peace of being outside it. We spent two days in Siena (although I’ve been many times it still blew me away), and one e-biking around the countryside. I can’t recommend Certosa Di Maggiano highly enough - wonderful place.

I wish I could give them 10 stars. This is an absolutely stunning property. This is true luxury with high standards of service. You can tell they take immense pride in customer service and it shows. The food was delicious breakfast and dinner were a delight. My room was stunning. I did not want to leave. It was worth every penny. Thank you to the entire staff for making our wedding anniversary so special. It was a 10 out of 10. Parking was easy here. Driving there can be a little scary due to narrow roads. But aside from that it was fantastic.

*Quiet, elegant, and full of charm* We stayed at La Certosa di Maggiano in March and absolutely loved it. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to one of the suites, which made the stay feel even more special. The room was beautiful, very quiet, and clean. The whole place has a really special atmosphere. The cloister is magical, especially very early in the morning. Service was careful and attentive throughout, but never too much. Breakfast was excellent, with local products. We also had dinner there one night (make sure to make a reservation in advance because they have just a few seats). The place is also an easy walk into the centre of Siena, which made everything very convenient. A really memorable stay.

My wife and I stayed there for six nights in May. Right away you feel like you are in Tuscany. Wonderful vibe. The property is amazing. It made for a perfect home base from which we set out on day trips throughout Tuscany. Best of all were the people. From Michelle to Christopher to all the other staff, thank you for a great stay.
