City Backpackers @ Hongkong Street

February is the most pleasant month to visit Singapore, with the fewest rain days and slightly lower humidity. The dry spell from January to March offers the most comfortable conditions for exploring. Expect the heaviest rains from November to December, while the rest of the year sees frequent, short showers. Chinese New Year often falls in this drier window, adding a lively atmosphere.

Stay in Marina Bay for iconic skyline views and easy access to Gardens by the Bay and the Merlion. The Fullerton Hotel and The Ritz-Carlton are here. The CBD, around Raffles Place and Chinatown, suits first-timers wanting central convenience, with Sofitel and The Clan Hotel nearby. Sentosa offers resort-style stays with beaches and attractions, where Capella and Sofitel Sentosa are located. City Hall, near Raffles Hotel, is great for colonial heritage and shopping.

Gardens by the Bay is a futuristic park with the iconic Supertree Grove and the Cloud Forest dome. Merlion Park offers the classic view of the Merlion statue and the skyline. The Singapore Botanic Gardens is a lush, historic tropical garden. Night Safari lets you see nocturnal animals in a unique setting. The Singapore Flyer provides a high vantage point over the city.

The full-day tours head to Kuala Lumpur and Malacca. Kuala Lumpur is Malaysia's capital, with the Petronas Towers and a mix of modern and colonial sights. Malacca offers a historic old town with Portuguese and Dutch heritage. Both are popular day-trip destinations from Singapore.

Plan 3 to 4 days for Singapore. In 3 days, you can see Gardens by the Bay, the Supertree Grove, Cloud Forest, and Flower Dome, plus Merlion Park and the Singapore Flyer. Add a fourth day for the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Night Safari, or East Coast Park. If you want a day trip to Malacca or Kuala Lumpur, add an extra day.
