hotel building itself is charming, with a beautiful staircase and a lovely rooftop view. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming throughout our stay. They allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived early, and they were always friendly and smiling. Unfortunately, the room was a major disappointment. From the moment we opened the door, there was a strong smell of dampness and mold. Even the refrigerator had the same unpleasant odor. The bed was also very uncomfortable. We stayed for two nights and were unable to sleep well on either night because of the discomfort. Considering the condition of the room, we also felt that the hotel was not good value for the price we paid. While the staff were excellent, the room itself significantly affected our stay and did not meet our expectations. Rating: 5/10

Location is no better. Any location in old town is good. Everything else is absolutely horrible, the biggest scam is the breakfast package would we paid €300 and they didn’t tell you it’s 15 minute walk and its basic cold breakfast. There is no front desk from 8 PM to 8 AM. The towels are always dirty even the one that is wash had stains on it. They never change the sheets. The hotel room is never cold. The refrigerator is not cold. Do not waste your time or money. I-don’t know how this place can get more than one star

Incredible locations- doesn’t get better! Perfectly located in old town and also 3 minute walk to where you can get Ubers or 15-20 minutes walk to bavice. The only concern is that they advertise an elevator and while that is technically true it doesn’t start  from the lobby so you still are required to lift your bags from the lobby upstairs then to the elevator. That was a bit misleading and I wish it had been noted since the hotel doesn’t have bellhoppers to help. Just seems important to note that in case someone has disabilities or an injury that would prevent them from lifting there own bag and expects there to be an elevator.

The front desk insisted that the city tax had to be paid in cash, and their attitude was very poor when I didn’t have any cash. I don’t understand why it had to be cash only. When I said I would go and withdraw some money, the receptionist impatiently replied, “I told you when you checked in, cash. Okay, fine, you can go now!” The room and facilities were old, cold and definitely did not match the advertised star rating. It felt like a basic two-star guesthouse at best. The slippers were paper-thin, and the soundproofing was almost nonexistent. The location is good, but the bar downstairs was noisy until midnight. Definitely not coming back. It feels like you’re mainly paying for the location.

Great location, 2 mins from the harbour strip. Jimmy and Sonya were both lovely accommodating, Jimmy showed us the nearby local Spar so that we could stock up on essentials. Sonya tried her best to get our tv working, as the advertised channels BBC and CNN weren’t working. In fact, they didn’t work during our stay because the management didn’t respond to Sonya’s requests to fix the tv; disappointing. Breakfast was in the Fife bar, approx 10 mins walk along the harbour. We didn’t mind the walk, yet it might be a strange thing for other guests, not expecting the early morning walk. The rooftop area was nice, albeit sparse. We watched the sunset and the lightening storm from there. If more attention was paid to ensuring the bedside electric sockets and usb sockets working, then I would have rated this 4 star experience. Nice shower, poor aircon.

It's always a bit of a lottery when you book a hotel; some are good, and some are not so good. This hotel is one of the good ones. I have been here for a couple of nights and the comments made by other guests simply do not equate with those of my friends and me. |The location is very good for those wishing to spend time on the Riva and its beaches, whilst being well placed for all there is to offer inside the City walls. |Yes, the towels are not fluffy and new, but they serve their purpose well enough. Whilst the fridge isn't ice cold it does keep things cooler than left in the room. |The showers are really good, easy to control and full of pressure. |The air-con works well and remains on after you take the keycard out of its socket by the door. |We have met three receptionists and several housekeeping staff, all of whom couldn't be more friendly. |Ignore the negative reviews and see for yourself that this hotel is a good one.

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. The location is outstanding—right in the heart of the Old Town—and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel's décor is exceptionally elegant; it blends perfectly with the setting and exudes true Mediterranean luxury.

Our stay at Plaza Marchi was a terrible experience. The reception staff, particularly Lana and Nora, were rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional.|We were left without toilet paper for 24 hours and without a working shower for THREE DAYS. These are basic necessities, not minor inconveniences.|When we raised our concerns, we were met with an attitude that made an already frustrating situation even worse. This is not hospitality.|Please see the attached photos documenting the conditions we experienced.|For a hotel in the heart of Split Old Town, the lack of basic service and respect was shocking. Management seriously needs to address how guests are treated and how basic problems are handled.Lana told us that all rooms have bathtub no shower at all but when you go to their website they have done false advertisement with shower however there are only tubs. False statement by Lana from girl receptionist.
