(Stay July 31 to Aug 3 2026) We chose to upgrade to a Premium room for our stay. We stayed 3 nights. We arrived late at night 11pm. The room was lovely (small but lovely). The toilet however was stinking of a sewer. At 1 am, I called the desk and told them our bathroom was stinking. They sent someone up, but after 30 mins no one arrived. At 1.30am I went down to the desk, and was assured someone was on their way. At 2am no sign. I phoned the desk again and told the guy that no one had come, that I was going to sleep and to set up for us to move the next day. I went to the desk at 10am the next day and nothing had been setup to move. I had to go through it all again. I was asked to checkout and they would get another room sorted out. I came back at 5pm, and a new room was ready. Not ONCE did anyone apologise, in any way. This by teh way is not the first time this problem happened based on historic reviews. I checked out online. I just received the bill. The biggest insult of the lot was that I was charged for the upgrade each night, even the night I was up waiting to 2 am to get help that did not turn up. I challenge you to try to contact staff at the hotel ot a manager.

The only way to make your visit to Stockholm truly unforgettable is to book a well-located hotel that allows you to explore many sights on foot or by bike. And this hotel was not only located perfectly with super polite personnel that made our stay really pleasant, it also has wonderful, luxurious spaces, a great variety of savoury and sweet options you can enjoy every morning at the spacious breakfast buffet on the first floor, great views and well- equipped rooms with provided toiletries as well as a kettle and refillable water jug, coffee and tea. What surprised me the most was they gave us an upgrade upon arrival and we were truly stunned by the view of our gorgeous room on the 6th floor. Honestly, you can't go wrong with Radisson, but the specific hotel raises the bar even higher.

We spent 5 nights at this hotel and enjoyed our stay. We stayed at another Radisson in the city on our last trip to Sweden and it was wonderful as well! We were in a family room facing the inside but we asked to move to an outside room and they obliged as I had requested it months prior. The rooms facing outside are much brighter . The higher the floor the better we were on the 8th. Breakfasts were amazing with a-lot of variety . We looked forward to them. The location next to the train station is perfect for walking around in the central Stockholm area. We walked everywhere it’s especially nice walking along the waterfront areas . The gym was probably the nicest we have been to in a hotel it was huge and adjacent to the pool area . We did notice there is a $20 charge to use the pool. For such a large hotel the service is personalized . The room is a little small but that is typical for Europe . We slept well the bed was very comfortable. I recommend the family room even for couples as it gives you a couch and sitting area. We highly recommend any of the Radisson hotels in Stockholm for a pleasant stay!

One of best hotel in Stockholm. The hotel just next to Stockholm central station which convenient for moving around Stockholm as well as cross country. Room are clean and well maintained. Front line staff excellent.

Attention to the Radisson Blu Royal Viking Hotel, Stockholm management team For the two weeks that we visited Sweden, we stayed at two Radisson Blu hotels - 4 nights at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel. Gothenburg and 4 nights at the Radisson Blu Royal Viking. Stockholm. Comparing both hotels, we experienced distinctive differences in terms of basic hotel services and customer service. The Radisson Blu Scandinavia hotel, absolument NO complaints. Everything was running smoothly and almost perfect ! Sadly, I can't say the same about the Radisson blu Royal Viking in Stockholm. Comparing both hotels, at the Radisson Blu Royal Viking, we experienced distinctive differences in terms of basic hotel services and customer service. AT THE RADISSON BLU ROYAL VIKING HOTEL, STOCKHOLM The hotel has a few benefits: the location, the gym, and the breakfast. The hotel is near to the train station, shopping and restaurant area. However, we had an entirely different experience dealing with the hotel basic services that are supposed to work and make our stay pleasant rather than irritating: First, the check-in kiosk did not work. We wanted to use the on-line check-in kiosque so we did not have to wait in line at the reception and save time. As a result, we waited in line at the reception for 15-20 minutes. Second, the temperature of our room was 24 celsius upon our arrival. I went to the reception to inquire about the high temperature. The reception staff explained that the hotel has a central air conditioning system. Not sure the hotel has a central air conditioning while the reception was very comfortable, but our room was uncomfortable and muggy. Not good Third, the reception staff recommended that we go to the High Bar on the 9th floor for a drink while our room cools down, except the bar was closed for a private event. See picture attached. Another case of poor communication with customers. Fourth, the need to reset the fluctuating air conditioning in our room. Every day. we had to reset the temperature from 21 celsius back to 18 celsius. Fifth, the first floor bar near the main entrance is an independent bar. The waiter did not know why we could not charge the wine to our room. Because of a sweden’s law, the reception explained that alcohol drinks can be brought to the hotel rooms Based on the five points mentioned above, our stay at the Radisson Blu Royal Viking was a pretty bad experience. As a comparaison, we flew to Paris and stayed at Charles de Gaulle, IHG Holiday Inn express. We had a much better hotel experience and everything was running smoothly. No complaints. Stayed for 4 nights. Unimpressed to be honest. Paid a lot of money (£830). Reception was the biggest let down. The staff weren't rude, just disinterested and lacking energy and care. Everything was just matter of fact and not really interested. The concierge, again not rude in anyway, was unable to answer even basic questions. Considering the front of house staff are the point of contact and your first impression of the hotel they all need training and shaking up. My room was also dissapointing. Small, basic and with a lousy view of an inner courtyard. The rooftop bar was no wow. Dark, no atmosphere and very expensive. The downstairs bar however was very good. No complaints with the breakfast, very comprehensive. Both my friend and i felt like we were staying in a very business driven hotel. Location was good right next to central station.

The hotel itself is pleasant, though it can feel quite busy. The restaurant and bar are independently operated and, unfortunately, do not offer a children’s menu, which is inconvenient for families. During our stay, the pool was closed for renovations; however, we were informed of this in advance. On a positive note, the fitness area—located in the basement—is spacious and well-equipped, offering a wide range of workout options. That said, the treadmills appear somewhat outdated and are not particularly intuitive to use. Complimentary water and towels are available. Reataurant: The restaurant mainly focuses on fish and is quite pricey. There are plenty of other places nearby if you’re looking for more variety or better value. Bar: Service at the bar is pretty slow. If you want to order something, you’ll likely have to take the initiative yourself. The bar is located in the hotel lobby, but as we found out, it doesn’t actually belong to the hotel, and there are no signs indicating that it isn’t. They don’t serve tea and only offer filter coffee. That’s quite poor for a bar — and even more so for a “hotel bar.” As a result, if one person brings coffee bought from the hotel’s coffee shop, located next to the elevators in the lobby, you’ll be asked to leave — even if you ordered something at the bar.

I had a really nice experience at the Radisson Royal Viking especially thanks to Johnrey at night reception. He has unique talent for making guest feel welcome and comfortable right away. He's friendly, professional, attentive, and genuinely enjoying helping people. Even during the night, he always has positive attitude and somehow makes everything feel easy and relaxed. You can really tell that hospitality comes naturally to him. He's definitely someone who stands out and makes a difference in the guest experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Shout out as well to Kristine, the manager, for being so supportive and kind to us during our stay!
