If you are looking for a small, quaint, clean, and quiet hotel in Gamla Stan, this is it. The staff are wonderful. The breakfast buffet is exceptional with many offerings, thanks to the constant tending by Mari and Anacita. The Metro station is only about a 5-6 minute brisk walk from the hotel. Numerous restaurants in the vicinity, to include the adjacent Leijontornet. I do not think you will be disappointed. Highly recommend!

The service and kindness that I have experienced here from the staff are unmatched. I injured my foot hiking, and have been barely able to walk . In every way the staff has been so helpful - offering to walk with me , serve me food in the lobby when I couldn’t stand and wait in the restaurant, helping me down to the sauna …. Thanks especially to David and the women at the front desk . I’ll never forget your kindness.

The Victory Hotel is a quirky, wonderful hotel in Gamla Stan.It is decorated in a nautical theme with antiques and interesting design everywhere. Reception was friendly and accommodating. Our deluxe room was large and comfortable. The included breakfast was one of the best we’ve had, fresh, plentiful and delicious. We highly recommend.

I honestly enjoyed every aspect of my stay: room, service, breakfast and amazing hotel design – all exceeded my expectations. I'm a pretty demanding traveller and usually have a lot of requests, but they were all met without any issues, and I deeply appreciate the work of every staff member, especially David at the reception.

Very unique hotel with a nautical style inside. They put a lot of effort into the decor and rooms. The front desk people are really good and the hotel is in a prime location, only a few minutes from major attractions. One big plus is that they clean the room every day. A lot of hotels aren’t doing this and it’s noticeable. Highly recommended.

The location of the Victory Hotel could hardly be better. Situated on a quiet street in the heart of the old town amongst the restaurants, shops and bars. The public areas are decorated with maritime antiques which makes it feel a little quirky when you first arrive. In contrast the rooms are modern, tastefully furnished with well appointed bathrooms and, in our case at least, a very powerful shower. Tea and coffee-making facilities are available in the corridor on each floor, allowing us to help ourselves whenever we liked without having to request additional tea, coffee, etc. for the room. Breakfast was served in the restaurant with an excellent selection, including cooked eggs, bacon, small sausages, cereals, cold meats and cheeses, smoked salmon and other fish, fresh bread, pastries, yogurt, fruit, and much more (see attached photos). We walked to the central train station in about 15/20 mins, so there is no need to wait for taxis unless you really want to. The hotel also has a small spa area available for an additional charge. Unfortunately, we forgot to pack our swimwear, so we were unable to try it, maybe next time! Although it didn’t affect our stay it’s worth mentioning that their website looks a little dated and its focus on antiques may give the impression that the hotel itself is old-fashioned. That’s definitely not the case. The hotel strikes a great balance between quirky character and modern comfort, all in an excellent central location.

Superb breakfast, even better service ​The breakfast buffet here is lovely, but Ancita makes it unforgettable. She is a proper professional and clearly the backbone of the morning service. Watching her multitask is something else—she’s managing the team, cooking, and hosting all at once without breaking a sweat. ​Her politeness and respect for the guests is world-class, and she has this bright, welcoming smile that genuinely cheers up the room. Everyone looks forward to seeing her every morning. She’s a credit to the Victory Hotel!

A great little find with very friendly and helpful staff. The nautical theme is authentic and something we slipped into. Location on Gamla Stan is as central as it gets with subway and ferries nearby.
