We expected a standard of comfort and care at Pullman Zhouzhuang, but our stay revealed critical failures in property upkeep, management, and service response: Damp Rooms and Aging Hardware:|The rooms suffered from heavy humidity and a distinct mold odor, with bed linens feeling damp to the touch. The overall facilities are in urgent need of renovation and proper climate/humidity control. Neglected Safety Hazards:|While exploring the outdoor grounds, we noticed that portions of the lakeside wooden boardwalk/deck are completely rotted and structurally compromised—a genuine safety hazard that has been left unaddressed. Careless Room Assignment:|Despite low occupancy rates across the hotel, front desk staff assigned our rooms near disruptive disturbance zones, showing a complete lack of care or common sense in room planning. Breakfast Policy Confusion:|During check-in, we experienced unnecessary friction regarding the child breakfast policy, where staff insisted on a local height restriction that contradicted our confirmed booking terms. Unprofessional Communication:|Post-stay communication only added to the frustration. The hotel responded with generic, template-based brush-offs rather than taking accountability for these operational shortcomings. Final Thought:|Due to the combination of facility decay, safety risks, and poor management responsiveness, I strongly advise travelers to consider alternative accommodations in the area.

what a nice experience this hotel is. friendly staff, nice facility, good breakfast and with executive rooms you get free evening buffet.|swimming pool was a bit low, temperature was too low and water was already quite muddy.|Zhouzhuang is not a must… too much commercialized

Our stay at Pullman Zhouzhuang was deeply disappointing due to multiple severe issues regarding facility maintenance, safety, and service: 1. Poor Room Hygiene & Aging Facilities: Both rooms we booked felt damp and musty to the touch, with a prominent, unpleasant mold odor. The overall room hardware and facilities are severely outdated. 2. Safety Hazards in Public Areas: Parts of the outdoor wooden deck along the lakeside are visibly rotted and decayed, posing a serious safety hazard for guests walking or taking photos near the water. 3. Inappropriate Room Allocation: Despite the hotel having very low occupancy and plenty of vacant rooms, our rooms were poorly assigned right next to a noisy event area, completely disrupting our rest. 4. Conflicting Child Breakfast Policies: Front desk staff attempted to enforce an arbitrary local height limit (1.4m) for children's breakfast, directly contradicting official booking confirmation terms regarding child age allowances. 5. Unprofessional Post-Stay Handling: When raising these issues, management's follow-up was highly unprofessional—replying with vague, template-driven excuses and offering an unacceptable voucher instead of genuinely addressing structural problems. A poorly maintained property with major safety and service blind spots. I would not recommend staying here.

The living space feels stuffy and hot. The air conditioning seems not running. I was bitten by mosquitoes at night on lake chairs. The hotel looks to be located in a wetland surrounded by reeds and lacks good maintaince….

Nice location , great room , big … I will be back - great price for all we got . Just breakfast buffet is for my point view too local ( no pastries ) no enough fruits but I do understand most of clients are locals so perhaps for them is ok . Also food has lots of MSG . Also dinner menu a la carte is poor … no many selections but tasty .Great to go from Shanghai …

The facilities are very outdated and not appropriate for a hotel with such a high rating. I stayed in a family suite, and the bunk beds had extremely poor mattresses that were far too hard to sleep on. In the end, we had to use one (large) bed to accommodate all four of us, which was far from convenient. Not good value for the money...

A short stay for my girlfriend birthday celebration and it was amazing. The staffs there are really helpful and smile all time. HK Staff assisted with room decorating and room service delivered cake on time. Very impressed. A special thanks to catherine who helped a lot. A highly recommended hotel and you won’t regret it.
