We enjoyed the expansive view to the East of the airport and found the size of the room and the bathroom (while small) to be perfectly adequate. Nice comfy bed with crisp white linen and one good sized pillow each. Big TV.

Great for a Quick Overnight Stay – Great Location and it served its purpose. It is reasonably priced. Would stay again. The biggest selling point is definitely the location it is nice and close to the airport. They offer a convenient shuttle service to get you to and from the terminals.

It works in a pinch for a layover. If all your looking for is a bed to sleep on til your next flight its alright but anything beyond that its lacking. First off the TV in the room is is misleading from the pictures and is smaller than my desktop monitor. The shower in the bathroom is not separate, meaning when you shower the curtain doesn't go to the floor so water gets beyond the shower curtain. While this may not be an important note for most, as a senior citizen, I was worried about slipping on the tile floor and had to put down another towel on the floor to make sure I didn't slip. The breakfast they offer is not at their hotel but at the Mantra next door. When I arrived they informed me that they do not see that I had paid for breakfast in their system. This is because they do not share systems. I had to go back to Ibis and have them print out proof that I have paid for breakfast. I wont stay here again.

Good location within walking distance from domestic airport. Safe to walk even in the night. Next to Mantra which is a bit upmarket. There's Maccas and KFC nearby for quick eats.Reception is efficient. Room is clean though I'm not happy with the style of bath curtains in the ensuite which is a bit too tight. Good comfy bed. Value for money.

Great proximity to airport and walkable to domestic terminals. The room was clean and functional. The hotel property was a bit run down but adequate for a 1-2 night stay. Airport shuttle is also available for a per person fee. Close to Mascot train stop and other restaurants and convenience shops.

Extremely happy with the service here, the young gentleman at reception noticed that we needed a car park and moved his car in order to offer us a car park (I’m also disabled but he didn’t know that at the time). He was so kind and polite. The rooms are good enough, two comfortable double beds, an accessibility bathroom and clean towels provided. Space overall was a bit small however for a budget hotel that is to be expected.

Extremely concerning experience. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS HOTEL I am extremely disappointed and concerned about my experience with ibis budget Sydney Airport. I stayed at this hotel and paid for my room on 7 August. Five days later, I received another charge of €116 on my card from the hotel, without any prior notice or explanation. I immediately contacted the hotel to ask what this charge was for, and I was not given a clear explanation of what the money had been used for or why my card had been charged again. This is extremely concerning and, from my perspective, raises serious questions about the way my payment information has been handled. I never manually gave the hotel my card details. I simply paid by tapping my phone on the payment terminal. I am now dealing with a charge that I did not expect, cannot get a satisfactory explanation for, and which has caused me serious financial problems. When I tried to resolve the situation at the hotel, the staff members Sum and Gia, who were working at around 8 PM, told me they were unable to process the refund because they were not authorized or qualified to do so. So the hotel is apparently able to charge my card days after my stay, but when I ask for an explanation or a refund, nobody on site is able to help. I have requested the refund of both charges — €110 for my stay and the additional €116 charge, €226 in total (approximately AUD $370) — and I am prepared to dispute the transactions with my bank and pursue the appropriate formal channels. I strongly advise anyone staying at this hotel to be extremely careful with their payment information and to check their bank statements carefully after leaving. Receiving an unexplained charge from a hotel five days after your stay and then being unable to get a clear explanation when you call is completely unacceptable. I hope this review helps other customers avoid finding themselves in the same situation.

Very disappointing – nothing like the advertised photos We were a group of three staying at Ibis Budget Sydney Airport because we had a long layover and needed somewhere comfortable to rest between flights. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Our room (515) looked nothing like the photos advertised online. The walls were scratched and heavily marked, and the room generally felt run-down and poorly maintained. The bathroom was particularly disappointing — it had very dated yellow square tiles, no apparent ventilation or fan, and no bin or other basic amenities. The bathroom door was also confusingly designed and initially made us think it may have been a shared bathroom. The bedding was another concern. The blankets were visibly showing underneath a very thin sheet, and the pillows were well below the standard we expected. All three of us felt extremely uncomfortable in the room and were concerned about the overall cleanliness and condition. Then, at approximately 10:15pm, the fire alarm went off and we were required to evacuate the hotel. While we understand that fire alarms can happen and may not be within the hotel's control, after already being uncomfortable with the room, this was ultimately the final straw for us. We checked out that evening and paid to stay at the Mantra across the road instead. This was particularly frustrating given that we had booked the hotel specifically to rest during a long layover. Overall, I would not stay here again. The room did not match the online advertising, the condition and facilities were disappointing, and the experience was certainly not what we expected for a hotel stay during a long layover.
