Herdade da Corte offered an exceptional stay, with beautiful rooms, delicious and thoughtfully prepared food, and an incredibly peaceful atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place that feels authentic and away from the crowds of tourists. Even though all the rooms were booked during my stay, the property never felt crowded, and there was always plenty of space around the pool to relax and unwind. What truly made the experience special, though, was the unmatched hospitality from Pedro and his family. From the moment I arrived, I was treated not simply as a guest, but as a friend they had warmly invited into their home. A truly memorable experience from start to finish. 10/10 — we would happily return!

After first going to Herdade in the early 2000's and vsiting regularly ever since it is very sad to see that this no longer operating! I am not sure if this permament or temporary but all I know is that the previous operators ( they had been there for approx 12 years) were given notice. If anyone has any uptodate news, please share!

The breakfast is amazing! The location is calm and quiet. The staff are fantastic and the building itself is so tasteful, clean and beautifully decorated. The pool area is lovely, but sadly as it was April the water was too cold to swim in. This is a great option for someone wanting a taste of rustic, country life in Portugal.

Great place. We really enjoyed everything: the stunning location, great view, lovely saltwater pool, quiet surroundings, amazing people. You will feel like home. Be aware the internet connection isn't great, but I really liked that, it let me leave my duties and have a media detox. The food is fabulous. Rooms are exceptionally clean and in great condition. We forgot our pool towels and were given Extra.

The hotel is in a rural setting with orange and lemon trees all around, great views. Our room was large with a high wooden ceiling. It was very clean and serviced each day. The hotel is a quiet place with ample comfortable seating inside and out. A nice continental breakfast is served each morning. There is a covered rotunda where breakfast can be taken whilst admiring the views. Tapas type suppers can be provided on request. There is a well stocked bar. The staff are very helpful the duty managers gave much advice on where to go and what to see in the local area. The pool great for refreshing swims and for relaxing on the many sunloungers.

What A lovely surprise, this is a real gem, this quiet hotel is tucked away in the hills. The Rooms are lovely and clean. I had a standard room and my son had a superior room. Both were great.|Breakfast was lovely . A car is essential. I would definitely return

Unlike most guests we stayed a full week. We enjoyed the tranquility, the bird song the proximity to Tavira (14k) and the rest of this idyllic part of the Algarve. Our experience of Herdade was excellent. It was located well for visiting, had caring and attentive staff, was clean and comfortable and was managed by people who both cared about and were interested in us. We loved the place as did most like minded guests who stayed for too short a time! That benefited us as it often felt we had private dining of delicious tapas or a pool private to us. If you like swimming our advice would be to avoid the suites and do as we did and take accommodation next to the pool. We would also stress that it is worth taking advice from the managers as without them we wouldn’t have got the most or most pleasure out of the area. We had salt baths, visited islands, ate squid, octopus and fish, hiked and did the tourist visitor stuff!
