We had a lovely stay in Aonikenk, the owners were very friendly, spoke English and helped us plenty with our activities in Ushuaia. A 10 minute walk to a lot of restaurants and activities. 10/10 would recommend.

I had an awful experience as the hosteria did not live up to my expectations and the way it was promoted on 'booking." As a result alrhough I did turn up I did not stay and was forced to look for alternative accommodation at 9 pm|The view which the hosteria advertises is a partial view, since if you dare to look to the left and right of the building you see corrugated iron roof and a mortar wall, very ugly and depressing, and the staircase leading down to the room is a concrete staircase with not even a carpet and you can see the plaster everywhere, its a claustrophobic entrance down ro the room and|the room is quite primitive.|I was charged roughly 90 usd per night which is way overpriced, I found a much more|pleasant accommodation of a|substantially higher standard for 140 usd (2 bed appartment). In Ushuaia all accommodation I saw was much more|value for money.|I had real problems with the staff regarding getting at least a partial refund.|I would definitely stay away from such a premise .

I had a room on the top floor nice view but the staircase situated outside of the building. It is not safe to use the commercial stairs outside, slippery, wind blowing. If you have knees issues might not be the right place to stay. Nothing on booking.com mentioned about this or the bad roads condition from/to the city center I had to cross the big highway that had no traffic light so I had to cross a road quickly on uneven pavements which was a major concerns.

I spent a month in Argentina between November and December 2025 and stayed many hotels over this period. I had experienced most unwelcome and unfriendly hosts who lacked of customer service. The atmosphere at the breakfast table was most unpleasant experienced. When I had early tours and asked for breakfast to go I received unacceptable breakfast packages - I could tell the way they packed the breakfast package that they did not care except for my credit card. There are better hotels with better services and friendlier atmosphere than this one.

This hotel is located on a quiet street within easy walking distance of restaurants, shopping, and the waterfront. The owners spoke English and were very helpful with recommending restaurants and activities. Rooms where clean and WiFi worked well. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved this place. Close to all of the amenities of Ushuia but nice and quiet. The room was well appointed and there were fabulous views. The hosts were so friendly and helpful . There was a common area which was great to chill out after a days hiking. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone planning a trip to Ushuia .

I’ve been visiting Ushuaia for the last 10 years, and all I can say is that this place feels like home. Beautiful people who truly know the area make the experience even better. This place has everything you need!

Really lovely Hostel with the most beautiful view over the city and the Beagle Channel from the dining room. The rooms are clean and cosy. The kitchen well equipped. And the breakfast is fine as well. The best thing about it are the owners! Their Tips and their help made a huge difference! I can highly recommend this Hosteria. We stayed 6 nights. Thanks for your hospitality!
