I stayed at Hotel Tierra del Fuego for two nights, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The elevator is extremely small. During the busy morning checkout time, it was nearly impossible to use, and I had to carry my luggage down the stairs. This is unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be 4-star. Although breakfast buffet was included, the service was very poor. There were about 40 guests seated, yet only enough food for 6–7 people was placed out at a time. The selection was extremely limited, and most items were not replenished in a timely manner. There was very little to eat. The bed was also too narrow and too short, making it uncomfortable to sleep. The hotel presents itself as a 4-star property, but the 2.5-star rating shown on Expedia seems much more accurate. Based on my experience, I would find it difficult to even give this hotel one star.

Booked this place at the last minute due to a flight cancelation and this was the only hotel with very over priced room available. We didn't have much choice since it was late and we needed to be in a place where it would be easy to get a taxi to the airport in the morning. It's centrally located and the room's clean - we had a triple room ($350) with two bedrooms as that's the only room type available. Nice lobby with comfortable seating extending into the breakfast room. Triple room just means two bedrooms, not a suite so not big and no sitting area. Bed is comfortable - bedding a bit lacking, no duvet just old fashioned fuzzy blankets. Old fashioned few outlets for charging devices. Bathroom had a bidet but no counter space. We had a harbor view which was nice. The wifi is bad, very slow, even late at night when it should be at its strongest without many users. We left early so didn't have time to check out the full breakfast - just picked up some very cold pastries and not too fresh whole fruits. Overall ok hotel but not worth the high price (especially if you pay by credit card and get charged the official pesos exchange rate).

Big room, very quiet, super beds, one of the best breakfasts we had in Argentine hotels. Very good value for your money. No parking but not hard to find places in the same road. Would come back with pleasure.

We found a Hotel Tierra Del Fuego I’m very pleasant centrally located hotel in Ushuaia. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and well equipped. We felt comfortable and safe in this hotel. Front desk was very helpful for any request we had. They even changed out our pillows to softer ones which are more comfortable for us. This hotel appears to be a transit point for people traveling to Antarctica. Breakfast was the usual Continental type. We stayed in room 501 and had a great view of the harbor. The two working elevators make it easy to move bags. If we were to travel back to Ushuaia, we’d certainly stay here again! Thanks to the staff for a very pleasant stay!

We spent three nights here before a cruise to Antartica. We had a large room on the fifth floor looking at the mountains.Lots of space to unpack which was nice. Bed was a little soft. Room was quiet and reasonably comfortable. Bathroom had shower in the bath. Breakfast was fine - a lot of sweet things but also fruit, cereals, bread, cheese and boiled eggs. No expresso coffees. Staff were helpful - we had laundry done and it was was back at the end of the day. The staff recommended some restaurants and museums. There is also restaurant along the street from the hotel, Paso Garibaldi, which was great. The location is fantastic - one street above the main street which means it is not noisy.

We visited from the US. This hotel is nothing special, but one thing makes it worth while: LOCATION. We walked everywhere! No need to rent a car, we only took a taxi to and from the airport. To book an excursion just walk to Best Tours Patagonia and they will hook you up! Yes, the rooms are hot, we opened the window. Yes, the breakfast is a carb fest, but they do serve what we would consider lunch meat and cheese, boiled eggs, and ham & cheese croissants. The room was spacious. I would recommend staying here.
