This historic hotel ls a grand dame on a hill & I will recommend it to everyone . It is about 20mins walk from downtown & offers spacious & clean rooms away from the hustle & bustle of downtown. IN addition, you can watch sunrise & sunset over the snowcapped Andes from the dining room on level 2. There are lots of spaces to lounge around in the sitting room on level 1.

The location is awesome! We cannot complain about the rooms! We asked for three separate beds. We got it! They have free breakfast, full restaurant! The location and the view is awesome! I wish I can stay more and enjoy the view!!!

Steep walk into town, about 700 metres, not too difficult but watch for traffic and broken footpaths. Big room for a family, comfortable and clean, not fancy. Beautiful views.

We stayed here 3 nights after an Antarctic cruise|I was disappointed|Had a grand reception, comfortable lounge and fabulous views to beagle channel and mountains|But continental breakfast quite poor in quality and choice|Room had a fixed window so no way of opening it and en-suite had no window or extractor fan so unable to get any fresh air to room|If we were in it we kept the door open.|They didn’t want anyone to put meal/ drink charges to room|If you ordered a coffee the card machine appeared at the same time|Just didn’t find it very nice to spend time in

The hotel is worn out, the breakfast is not worth eating but the bed is good, and when you only had to stay here for 12 hours it will do. |Beautiful view from the sitting room, and they could with little effort make this a great place. Guess they just don’t know how

This is a nice hotel but could be better. My room was nice and big. The hotel also has a nice common area which is good because if you need an internet connection, you'll need to go there, since there is little to no wifi signal in the room. They also failed to supply any shampoo. If it was not for the lack of wifi in the rooms (plus what there was was not great) and the lack of shampoo, I would have given them 5 stars. The hotel is not all that close to downtown but taxis are cheap enough cheap enough. Breakfast is just okay. I had salad there one night for dinner and it was very good although it took a while for it to arrive. Finally the place is nice and clean.
