No complaints—only compliments! The staff: wow. The rooms: wow. The property: wow. The playroom, the restaurant… wow And having a daycare where parents can leave their children and enjoy the island for a while? Absolutely amazing! Congratulations to everyone involved for creating such a wonderful place. Thank you for providing such an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Staying at the JW Marriott for a 60th birthday celebration was a wonderful experience that made the occasion truly special. We were lucky enough to receive an upgrade to a La Maisonette Pool suite and on arrival we were taken to the private check in area before being shown to our accommodation. The suite was exceptional; clean, modern design but extremely comfortable too. The garden area with plunge pool was wonderful to relax in before and after a hot day in Venice. We ate breakfast in Cucina family restaurant, where there was a good choice at the buffet, and also at the Fiola restaurant where we experienced fine dining at its best. The staff throughout the hotel were extremely friendly, professional and efficient. On our first evening we ate in the Sagra Rooftop restaurant as we were too tired to go to the mainland. The meal was extremely good, but also extremely expensive and we did eat in the city for the rest of our trip. The free shuttle boat service was fantastic, leaving ever 30 minutes, with the last boat coming back at 12.30, allowing us to spend all evening in Venice. It only takes 20 minutes and it's a wonderful way to arrive in the city, especially as the dock is located right on St Mark's Square and next door to an ACTV station. The location of the resort is perfect; away from the bustle of the city but in easy reach, and the views across the lagoon are spectacular. We had a fantastic week at the resort and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to our friends if they were looking for a luxury stay in Venice. We'll definitely be returning.

A peaceful luxury escape away from the Venice crowds Staying at the JW Marriott Venice was one of the highlights of our Italy trip. After spending the day exploring busy Venice, returning to the private island felt incredibly relaxing. The complimentary boat shuttle was smooth and actually became part of the experience. The rooftop pool overlooking the lagoon is stunning, especially in the evening, and the whole resort has a calm atmosphere with beautiful gardens and open space that you rarely find in Venice. Breakfast was excellent with a huge variety of fresh options, and the staff throughout the resort were consistently warm and professional. The hotel works especially well if you want to combine sightseeing with real relaxation. It feels more like a luxury Mediterranean resort than a typical Venice hotel. A small thing to keep in mind is that you depend on the shuttle schedule, so spontaneous late-night returns require a little planning. Still, for us the peaceful atmosphere more than made up for it. Highly recommended for couples, families, or anyone wanting a quieter and more exclusive Venice experience.

Our stay at JW Marriott Venice began in the most unforgettable way - with a private water taxi transfer arranged by the hotel from Venice Airport. The ride felt straight out of a James Bond movie, gliding across the lagoon and setting the tone for a truly special stay. The hotel handled all transportation seamlessly, making arrival completely stress-free. We stayed in a Junior Suite with terrace for three nights, and the room was impressively spacious, clean, minimalist design with simple décor. The private terrace added a relaxing touch, perfect for unwinding after a day in Venice. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we enjoyed excellent sleep throughout our stay. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a wide variety of choices. We especially loved sitting outdoors in the garden area, which provided a peaceful and scenic start to each morning. The resort itself is located on a private island, giving it a unique sense of space and tranquility. There’s plenty of room to walk around, explore the landscaped grounds, or even ride bicycles. Despite its secluded feel, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle boat to and from San Marco, running frequently during the summer. This made it very convenient for shopping and dining in the city while still enjoying a quiet retreat. The facilities are excellent. The adults-only rooftop pool was a standout, with beautiful views and a bar/restaurant where we enjoyed drinks and light bites. The family pool is also well-designed, which was long, spacious, and not overly crowded. Service was consistently strong. The concierge team was particularly helpful, assisting us with restaurant reservations (very useful as we don’t speak Italian) and arranging our private water taxi transfer to Venice Santa Lucia train station on departure. Overall, JW Marriott Venice offers a perfect balance between city access and resort-style relaxation. It’s an ideal choice for those who want to experience Venice while escaping the crowds at the end of the day.

This hotel is beautiful. I cannot say enough good things. Venice is a lovely city, but when you want to be away from the tourist crowds, the JW is the perfect escape. Peaceful, beautifully landscaped, priceless views, clean and well taken care of. Couples, weddings, family holidays; this place can do it all. You can smell the rose gardens from anywhere on the island. Walking paths, quiet places to sit or picnic, spa, gym, roof top pool for adult only relaxation, rooftop restaurant, family pool with food and bar service... Side note -the family pool was quite and well maintained with plenty of sun or shade lounge chairs. Staff here engaged with the children as needed and provided tennis / pickleball rackets and other games to the children to play in a safe space. Also next to this area is an outdoor theater set up with plenty of comfortable seating. Bring your children here! There is plenty of space for them to roam and enjoy making new friends. This hotels staff provided fantastic customer service from check in to departure. You just need to go. The complimentary water taxi to / from the hotel to San Marco pier makes getting to Venice so easy. We booked two rooms, one for us parents, the other for our children. Our rooms next to each other, spacious and the bathrooms were very nice. My children range in age. Having a separate shower and bathtub made getting the kids cleaned up for bed so much more convenient. I loved this hotel. The setting was perfect for our trip to this incredible city. I will miss it. Book this hotel. You will not regret it. It was perfect for us. Thank you JW Marriott!

I wanted to take a moment to formally recognize the extraordinary experience my husband and I recently had during our stay at the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa from May 10-15, 2026. As longtime Marriott guests and travelers with extensive experience across luxury hospitality brands globally, we felt compelled to write because this property represents something increasingly rare within contemporary luxury hospitality: a resort that delivers not only physical beauty and operational excellence, but also emotional resonance and a true sense of belonging. What distinguishes Isola delle Rose is not simply the architecture, landscape, or amenity offering, though all are exceptional. It is the culture of care demonstrated consistently by the team. Across every interaction, there was a level of attentiveness, professionalism, grace, and follow-through that transformed the stay from memorable to deeply personal. We specifically wish to recognize Cristiano Cabutti and his leadership team, along with Liv Ferreira, Kellie, Simone, Mahfuz, Oscar, Lara, and many others whose names we unfortunately may not know. What impressed us most was not perfection, but rather the team’s response when small operational inconsistencies emerged. Questions regarding fitness schedules and certain in-room technology features were treated seriously, investigated thoughtfully, and resolved collaboratively across departments with remarkable speed and sincerity. In an industry increasingly focused on systems and efficiency, this team demonstrated something far more valuable: ownership, empathy, and genuine hospitality. Equally important, the property itself has achieved an exceptionally sophisticated balance between luxury and sanctuary. Venice is one of the world’s great destinations, yet we found ourselves repeatedly reflecting that the true highlight of our journey was not Venice itself, but returning each evening to Isola delle Rose. The La Maisonette accommodations in particular offer an experience of quiet refinement and residential intimacy that is extraordinarily difficult to replicate within large-scale hospitality environments. From a brand perspective, the resort embodies many of the qualities Marriott aspires to communicate at its highest tier: understated elegance, emotional intelligence, anticipatory service, and a deeply localized sense of place. The experience felt curated rather than scripted, warm rather than performative. In a time when many luxury hospitality experiences have become increasingly transactional, the team at JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa reminded us what hospitality can feel like when culture, leadership, and guest experience are truly aligned. This hotel blew me away. This will be the only|Hotel I stay at in Venice. Took us a minute or two to find the transfer but once we did we had no issues. I was worried with our limited time in Venice that the transfer schedule would be a burden, but it was totally fine. It was so peaceful here. The welcome of the staff was so friendly on the pier and then at the front desk. The rooftop pool was amazing. Great staff up there too. I didn’t know breakfast was included so that was a great surprise and it was perfect. I will 100% be coming back here and this time with my family so we can explore the whole island. Top 10 hotel for me.

This resort was really bad. We had an "upgraded deluxe room that had stained furniture and dirty carpet. Huge bush blocking the window - no outside light at all. The rooftop bar had all new hires as well as the restaurants. The drinks and food were below expectations. The indoor restaurant had new hires also had a mediocre dinner for $175 Euros. The interior is cold and dirty - the indoor retail stores had nothing anyone would want to buy. If the rooms are dirty the spas are dirty - bypassed the spa which we were wanting to spend a lot of money at. No one would stay here if there was no complimentary water taxi - doesn't matter the captains of the water taxis were all nasty. This is rated as a 5 Star resort - I give it a 2. Stay in Venice.
