The accomodation is spread between the main ‘house’ area and various stand alone suites. Parking is on-site, the property has laundry for guests, along with a lounge area and a hot tub. The rooms are well appointed, well decorated and very warm. The accomodation is around 15-20 min walk into Wanaka. The owner, Alan, is excellent & possess an encyclopaedic knowledge of the best restaurants and bars and other Wanaka attractions. It is an excellent choice for those visiting Wanaka and a 5 min walk from ‘that’ Wanaka Tree and Wanaka Parkrun.

We had a lovely stay at here! Highlights were the hot tub, very comfy bed, cosy and warm shared spaces, free laundry and great personalised recommendations for things to do in town and on our trip. This spot has everything you need for a relaxed getaway in Wanaka. It’s in a great spot close to town but quiet and easy walk to the lake front. Would book again next time we’re in Wanaka.

We had the most amazing stay at Wanaka Homestead Lodge & Cottages! We were a group of 9, and the setup could not have been more perfect for us. We had plenty of space to be comfortable while still being able to spend time together as a group in the living room of the lodge. The property itself is beautiful, cozy, and incredibly welcoming, but the hosts are truly what made our stay so special. They are some of the nicest people and went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed throughout our stay. And the breakfast!! Absolutely incredible and honestly one of the best parts of our mornings. We felt completely at home from the moment we arrived and would stay here again in a heartbeat. If you’re traveling to Wanaka with a group, I couldn’t recommend it more!

We are a family of 5 with three teenagers and had the most amazing stay and action-filled holiday in Wanaka. The homestead is immaculately maintained, Lismore cottage is beautiful, the hot tub set among beautiful gardens and overall just an amazing place to stay. The owners are super friendly and helpful and really made us feel at home! Could not recommend more and will definitely be back!!!

A massive shout out to Allan!! Our group of 22 stayed at the Homestead for the weekend of our wedding. Allan was so accommodating with all of our requests and even let us check in early to prep for our group. During the chaos of our wedding morning, he went above and beyond to check in with us to see if we needed anything and he was even kind enough to tidy up the entire Homestead after we had left for our nuptials. It was such a great feeling to come back to the homestead after our wedding night to a clean home. We would definitely come back for a stay whenever we are in Wanaka. Highly recommend Wanaka Homestead - a home away from home.

Absolutely lovely stay here! After our initial tour during check in, we thought the place was so nice that we decided on the spot to extend and stay a second night. The inn keepers are incredibly knowledgeable about the area and very welcoming, and the hotel itself has great amenities - a very nice hot tub, free laundry facilities, and an area with complimentary tea and coffee. The room was also lovely - a bed plus a lounger, and housekeeping service included. Before staying here, we had stayed at a more expensive AirBnB for two nights, but the hospitality and atmosphere here were far superior, and we will definitely choose to stay with Homestead again next time we are in Wanaka - thank you!

I loved everything about my stay here. The location was perfect being just slightly out of the downtown but close enough to walk and right by the lake. The whole place felt homey and warm. The owners went above and beyond to provide great hospitality and recommendations on activities. Really enjoyed getting to know them. The rooms were great as was the whole property. I came solo on this trip but it would also be the perfect place to bring a big group as it has that perfect balance of privacy but also common spaces for gathering! Thank you.
