We absolutely loved our 3-night, 4-day stay here! ❤️ The hotel’s location is excellent, within walking distance of the National Mall, museums, plenty of restaurants, and shopping destinations like CityCenterDC. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I especially loved the bed—it was so comfortable! 🛏️ The breakfast was great, and the complimentary lemon water, coffee, and cookies available throughout the day were such a nice touch. ☕🍪 The parking garage is also within walking distance and costs only $12 per day, which is reasonable for the area. Overall, the money we spent on this hotel was absolutely worth it! Great location, comfortable accommodations, friendly service, and thoughtful complimentary amenities made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely love to stay here again! ❤️✨

I stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend, using my frequent stay points. The place was busy with many foreign guests. The hotel is a bit away from the city’s main attractions and the nearest Metro station is a hike too. But Washington DC is well suited for walking, though it was exhausting in the very hot weather that I experienced. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The bedroom is spacious though the bathrooms are on the smaller side. Comfortable mattress, large TV screen with many channels, and a mini refrigerator. Room air conditioners. This is an old building. Breakfast is complimentary and offers a very good variety including fresh fruit - banana, orange and pear. This is a functional hotel in a safe neighborhood which meets the needs of a tourist.

If I could leave zero stars, I would, but unfortunately Google won’t let me go below one. This was genuinely one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. First, the room was advertised as being able to sleep four people. That was absolutely not our experience. There were only three of us, and the two beds were so small that we still could not sleep comfortably. We asked the staff for help, including whether they could provide a rollaway bed or some other solution, and they refused. Their solution was basically, “You can pay another $70 for another room.” I’m sorry, but I’m not paying for a second room because the first room didn’t match what we expected from the listing. The room itself also needed serious maintenance. The A/C unit was literally split open, the sink was broken, and overall the room just did not feel like it was being properly maintained. And the coffee… I don’t know what happened there. It tasted like someone mixed sewage water with lemonade and decided, “Yep, serve that to the guests.” Easily some of the worst hotel coffee I’ve ever had. Then there’s the parking. The parking lot is about 0.4 miles away from the hotel, which is extremely inconvenient, especially when you’re carrying luggage. Apparently checking into the hotel also comes with a complimentary cardio workout. I will give credit where it’s due: the morning front desk employee — I believe her name was Brandon, if I’m remembering correctly — was very kind, professional, and helpful. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the night staff. Our experience with the night crew was extremely unhelpful and dismissive when we were trying to find a solution to the sleeping situation. Between the tiny beds, broken equipment, inconvenient parking, lack of help at night, and coffee that deserves its own health investigation, I would not stay here again. Save your money and book somewhere else.

The hotel is blocks away from the Convention Center and walking distance to everything. The rooms are small but well appointed. The AC in our room was excellent! I had items delivered ahead of our arrival and were kept safe. Robin checked us in and she was the most amazing person. Above and beyond service, which is a rarity these days. If I still worked in the industry, I'd certainly recruit her to work for one of my properties! The hotel is very nice and needs some TLC, not quite the standard i'd expect from a Choice property, but definitely inviting to the traveller. Service was excellent all thru our stay.

I had a great stay at the Comfort Inn in Washington, D.C. Robin was very nice, helpful, and welcoming. She helped us find somewhere to eat and made sure we had a good experience. Her customer service was excellent, and I really appreciate how kind she was to us. I came to D.C. for Howard University’s Homecoming, and I would definitely stay here again on my next trip! Thank you, Robin, for making our stay a great one! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I travel a lot for work and typically don't spend $300+ on a daily rate. But I had to go to DC for a convention and I missed the room rates at closer hotels. I understand rates are higher in DC, and I have stayed in other Comfort Inn's so I know what to expect but this place is the worst hotel I have stayed in a very long time. I was staying three nights from Tuesday to Friday. When I arrived, I was placed in a room that smelled strongly of smoke and mold. I alerted the front desk of my concerns; they asked the room number (403) and immediately moved me to another room which was a little bit better. However, my new room, which still had wallpaper falling off the walls and holes, did not have hot water, a working tv, and the internet was spotty at best. I didn't get hot water until Thursday and that was only after they showed me a "trick" to get it to work. At this point, I'm asking myself, "I spent 300+ dollars a night, and I have to use a trick to get hot water." Robin was great behind the desk, and I could tell she genuinely wanted to help, but the rest of the staff was a bit apathetic, I'm sure they hear these complaints all the time. This is a franchise location operated by Baywood Hotels LLC. Comfort Inn corporate should inspect this location, as it's in an unacceptable, dilapidated condition. They probably wont because the location itself helps them stay "busy." But if you want a dirty hotel, with no hot water, non-working TV's, spotty internet, and a burnt-out staff you'll feel bad for, this is the place!

We stayed for 2 nights. Location is great as it is walking distance to many sites like The White house, etc. Breakfast was pretty decent and staff was great. Our room 805 was not so great. Top floor very hot and had a burning smell which got extremely worst the next day. They were able to change our room to the first floor. No smell but still fairly warm in room. As well rooms are slightly outdated. But for 1 or 2 nights not bad.

Everything about this downtown Washington DC location was just what we needed. We arrived late after enjoying sites in the city and we were happily greeted, all questions were answered and our room was awaiting. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and linens were great. It's an older hotel but well maintained. Our breakfast was complete with hot and cold options and plenty of choices. Everything was stocked and restocked amongst all the guests and we were very satisfied. Thank you Comfort Inn downtown staff / management as we had a wonderful stay in your hotel.
