Great location for exploring Washington . The bedroom was large and the bed was comfortable. There is a small gym in the basement with basic equipment. The hotel is quite dated, with carpeted rooms, but no slippers provided. Old bathtub with a fabric curtain, which I personally find unhygienic. Shampoo, conditioner and soap attached to the wall, and the shower height is not adjustable. No bottled water provided in the room. The night staff were extremely grumpy and unhelpful. The day and evening staff were lovely. The rooms were very overpriced at $275 per night without breakfast, in late-April.

Large rooms with comfortable beds, but not modern and all the better for being historic. Very good location for a good price and nice service. We enjoyed a great breakfast in the café.

Our room was very beautiful and felt cozy and comfortable. The staff, especially the valet, were super friendly. We highly recommend the Hotel Lombardy to everyone who may be planning a trip to DC.

This was home away from home. I came in from Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape of South Africa and felt much at home. I have stayed at many 5 star hotels in DC and around the world, and all I ask for is a homely environment. The service here was professional and top class. I expecially enjoyed and appreciated the bell man, Walde.... always resourceful and warm. I look foreward to more enjoyable experiences at the Lombardy. Keep up the good work. L.E

Awesome hospitality in a charming hotel! I was in town for one night to play at Constitution Hall. My husband was able to complete check in, get the car parked and have dinner in the hotel restaurant all while I was at rehearsal. When I returned to the hotel the waiter (Muhammad I think) had my dinner delivered to our room in five minutes. The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was lovely but not huge. I think we had a corner room. Overnight I didn’t hear any noise through the walls or from the hallway, our room had an interior door to the bedroom that we could close. The bathroom didn’t have a fan but I opened the window for some ventilation. Checkout was easy—and at noon—which let me get some errands done beforehand. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks to the staff for such a welcoming visit.

If you are planning a trip to DC, this luxury hotel should be in your bucket list. It’s not just a stay but an experience. The staffs are polite and friendly. Our booking didn’t come with complimentary breakfast but thanks to the location it was just 10minutes walk to Tatte. All the monuments and museums are just 10 to 15minutes walk from the hotel. Parking is available on the street ( charges applicable). The rooms were luxurious, the doorways gave an antique vibe.

An elegant reminder of growing up in Manhattan. Personalized service. A chic bar and an elegant dining room. Very quiet room and spacious! Had a problem of my own making with my reservation and they took care of it instantly. Now our go to hotel for the next four years while our daughter attends GW!
