A big thank you from Heinz and family We spent 16 nights at the Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta and it was honestly one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. By the end of our stay, our 18-month-old son was known by all the staff, and everyone made such an effort to make us feel comfortable, welcome, and genuinely looked after. Travelling with a young child is not always easy, but the kindness of the team made a huge difference to our experience. The hotel itself is magical — set in beautiful gardens, it feels like a peaceful oasis in the middle of the busy city. We stayed in one of the renovated terrace rooms, which was very comfortable, modern, and perfect for a longer stay. The restaurants and breakfast selection were excellent, and there was so much to enjoy around the hotel: the beautiful swimming pool, outdoor games, spa, walking routes, golf, and plenty of space just to relax. Even after staying for more than two weeks, we would happily visit again. A huge thank you to the whole team for making our stay so special.

The hotel is a bit old, but it is elegant and very stylish. The Hyatt Regency in Yogyakarta is an amazing hotel with beautiful decor. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is not perfect, as it is about 20 minutes or so from the city center. But it is like a resort and one could enjoy hanging out in this hotel, since it has high ceiings, plentiful artwork, and excellent dining facilities. The food is very good. They even have baked goods that they offer at a discount in the evenings.

It's terrible that they were open during renovations. The hotel management is trying to handle everything with very little staff. The employees have to work extremely hard. The only positive thing was the friendly and dedicated staff. The rooms are old and worn, so the cleanliness isn't very noticeable. Many of the dishes on the menu aren't prepared. The price is definitely not worth the value. Of all the hotels in the Hyatt group we've seen, the rooms at this hotel were a big surprise.

I think this is one of the best hotels in Yogyakarta. And it is so reasonably priced, unbelievable. The common areas, especially, the Borobudur style outdoor lobby is absolutely gorgeous. The Koi fish in the pond are adorable. Even if you stand at one place, they come towards you and ask for food. You can get fish food for free at the concierge. The breakfast buffet is absolutely great and you can enjoy your breakfast by the pool- the setting is beautiful. The pool itself is huge with lots of sections and super fun - esp for kids - as there are water slides and everything. They have a nice jogging track around the golf course which is very picturesque. The rooms itself are slightly old and could be maintained better - so one point less for that. But overall, rooms were quite nice. No complaints. They provide parking as well. We also took their cab services to go to Borobudur and it was really convenient and luxurious. Highly recommend.

This place is fantastic. The pool and rec area is huge and there's lots to do. The staff are very kind. Location is fine - you take a Grab for peanuts anywhere in the city, but you kind of need to go out of your way to stay there. Temple tours are easy to arrange. The free breakfast buffet is massive, with lots of healthy options, including local foods. I especially recommend the various soups and vegetarian items (I'm an omnivore, but it's all very well done, and the steamed veg in peanut sauce is fantastic).

We had such a wonderful family stay at Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta. Everything about our experience was truly memorable—from the wide range of activities to the warm and attentive service. There were so many things to enjoy as a family: cycling around the beautiful property, swimming, and the variety of kids’ activities that kept our child happy and engaged. We also loved the thoughtful touch of the complimentary family photo session with Javanese attire—it made our stay even more special. What stood out the most was the exceptional care when our son got sick. The team responded immediately and kindly offered to arrange a doctor visit, which gave us great comfort and reassurance as parents. A special thank you to Mbak Sri at the restaurant, who went above and beyond to assist us in registering for the Hyatt membership. Thanks to her help, we were able to enroll smoothly and instantly enjoy discounts on our transactions. Her friendliness and professionalism truly made a difference. Overall, it was a very pleasant and heartwarming stay for our family. We truly appreciate the hospitality and look forward to coming back again.

The room was comfortable and the balcony was allowing a great view on the golf ground and the mountain. We really appreciate the complimentary 1-hour massage and photo session. The breakfast was full of choices providing either Indonesian either Western food. All the staff was so welcoming that we fell like at home. Highly recommended.

The hotel is amazing and the staff are super friendly and always welcoming, the resort grounds are expansive and very beautiful so I recommend taking a bike and riding around in the morning. The bar has a great atmosphere and it is right by the a massive golf course and a night driving range which was lots of fun. The staff at the driving range were very friendly and helped me improve my swing, and even offered me some extra golf balls for free. The pool is beautiful and is a great place to take a dip when it gets hot, there are areas in the shade or umbrellas to provide cover on the poolside and the slide is great fun for both kids and adults.
