Excellent family hotel for pool/ beach holiday. The leisure facilities are first class - huge gym/ tennis/ padel etc. Old town of Zadar is beautiful and 20-30 minutes by Uber/ Bolt approx 25 Euro. Our children took part in the Arsenal Development Football Camp which was exceptionally well organised and a great experience - great staff and facilities.

Fantastic hotel, outstanding staff & wonderful food We are currently staying at the Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Iadera and are really enjoying every day here. The absolute highlight is the staff – exceptionally friendly, attentive and professional. We were particularly impressed by the many young, highly motivated team members who genuinely seem to enjoy what they are doing. Always a smile, always helpful, and a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel. The food is excellent, with a special mention for the Bracera restaurant. Great quality, beautifully prepared dishes and excellent service – definitely one of our highlights. Our room itself is perhaps a little simple for a hotel of this category, but this is more than compensated for by the huge balcony (around 3 × 5 m) and the absolutely fantastic sea view, exactly as we had requested. Waking up to this view over the Adriatic is simply wonderful. Yes, the Iadera is not inexpensive – but you get what you pay for: a fantastic seaside location, excellent food, great facilities and, above all, a truly outstanding team. We feel extremely comfortable here and would definitely come back.

The hotel itself was decent, although the staff could be better trained and some details like obtaining towels could be easier. It’s worth mentioning also that, in addition to those details mentioned earlier, the lights at the sports center shouldn’t get turned off at 12 pm… That said, I have to point out the excellent work of the Fortis team— Alexa, Jakov, Miško and Andrej. That team of 4 was wonderful. They were always helpful, professional, and went out of their way to assist whenever I needed something.

I am extremely disappointed by my experience with this hotel. We visited the hotel’s beach as paying external guests. As we were leaving, a member of the hotel’s security staff physically assaulted a woman in our group with such force that she fell to the ground. The situation was so serious that we had to call the police, who came to resolve the incident. What was even more shocking was the hotel’s response. We immediately reported what had happened to the reception, but the hotel took no action, showed no concern, and made no effort to address such unacceptable behavior. I have never felt so unsafe in a place associated with a hotel. What makes this even more disappointing is that I was previously a guest at the same hotel brand in Mariánské Lázně in the Czech Republic and had a positive experience, so I expected a completely different standard of professionalism and guest care. No one should have to worry about their safety when visiting a hotel or its facilities. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place. If this is how the hotel handles such a serious incident involving its own security staff, it raises serious concerns about guest safety and management’s responsibility.

The beach entrance is closed (we informed the security, that we just want drink something in bar), but he didn’t let us in. It is illegal in Croatia if I am not wrong. Kindly ask Croatian authorities to review this case. Thank You!

The first thing we noticed was how much the area has changed. The once pristine sea is now polluted with visible oil from the large cruise ships that are allowed to sail so close to the coast. It’s heartbreaking to see such a beautiful place losing its natural charm. Sadly, the decline doesn’t stop there. We have been visiting this hotel for many years, but it has been going downhill for quite some time and no longer lives up to the standards it once had. The carpets throughout the hotel have a persistent unpleasant smell, likely caused by years of moisture from the large indoor pool. Instead of feeling fresh and luxurious, many areas now feel worn and neglected. The food quality was disappointing, with meals that lacked both quality and variety. The service was equally disappointing, as several staff members were unfriendly and unhelpful, making us feel more like an inconvenience than valued guests. It is genuinely sad to see what was once an exceptional hotel deteriorate over the years. We hope the management invests in restoring both the property and the level of service, because at the moment we cannot recommend staying here.

Nice hotel in a large beachfront resort with stunning ocean views (if you’re facing the sea). Rooms are decent, breakfast and dinner offer great variety, and the spa area is huge. Parking is mandatory (€13/day), and drink prices are on the higher side. Service is unfortunately inconsistent – housekeeping and reception could be more attentive for a 5★ standard. One downside: tips are automatically added to the invoice (can be removed), which feels unusual and a bit uncomfortable – first time seeing this. Overall, a good hotel, but service doesn’t fully match the expectations.

The hotel also offers a beach bar and restaurant called Bracera, plus an à-la-carte option, La Veranda, for a more casual or special meal.
