We have had the most amazing honeymoon at the Tui Blue Bahari hotel. We had a junior suite which was a very spacious room, lovely decorated and housekeeping was excellent, with a turn down service and the room got sprayed with mosquito repellent. The grounds are beautiful and the bar and restaurant service have been excellent, too many great members of staff to mention!! We had complimentary massages and a fab meal on the beach which were very much appreciated. We did wine tasting with Nailath that was really informative. All in all it was paradise Had a lovely honeymoon meal on the beach and was served by Deborah, excellent service and lovely meal. Was a definite bonus to our honeymoon 🥰🥰xxx

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The service was exceptional. The hotel caters for every dietary options. My favorite restaurant was The Breeze (worth a vist). Neeman and Elizabeth were excellent with the service 👌 I was entertained by the various activities planned each day to make our stay memorable. I learned new skills including entry level Swahili. The staff are respectful, humble and kind. They are efficient and respect time. I was particularly impressed with their senses of calm under pressure. Salma was Fantastic! I was emotional when i left after Breakfast because they made us feel at home😢

We had a really lovely stay at this hotel and overall were very happy with our experience.|The hotel itself is beautiful, with really nice architecture and lots of things to do. There are plenty of activities available, including different sports, painting classes, cooking courses, etc. The hotel cats were all very friendly, tame and clearly well looked after.|Our room was spacious, and the bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was modern, clean and open-plan, so just something to keep in mind if you’re not travelling as a couple, as there isn’t much privacy. We did have power blackouts every day in the evenings, but they never lasted long and honestly didn’t bother us.|The food was also really delicious. On top of the main restaurant, there are four other restaurants — Italian, Asian, seafood and BBQ — so you can easily switch things up and don’t feel like you’re eating the same thing every day.|The beach area is built slightly higher up, which we thought was a clever solution, as there are quite a few local vendors on the beach. The moment you stepped onto the beach, someone would approach you trying to sell you something. Thankfully, the hotel handled this very well, with at least two security guards always around to keep the vendors from entering the resort. Although it was a little annoying, we always felt safe.|We also had a massage at the spa, which was great and definitely worth doing.|And finally, the staff deserve a special mention. Everyone was incredibly nice, friendly and helpful. They were always checking if you needed something.|All in all, we had a great holiday and would definitely recommend the hotel. Beautiful surroundings, comfortable rooms, good food, lots of activities and genuinely lovely staff — we really enjoyed our stay.

TUI Blu Zanzibar exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and kept impeccably clean. The resort has a laid-back, friendly vibe that creates the perfect holiday atmosphere. The beach is simply amazing and one of the highlights of the stay. We also enjoyed the food, which was varied and tasty every day. The cold bottled beer was always appreciated after a day in the sun. The staff were exceptional throughout the resort. Special thanks to Lily and Adam at the Restaurant & Ally, as well as everyone at reception, for their friendliness and helpfulness. They made us feel genuinely welcome.

We had such a wonderful stay at TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibari- the location right on the beach & the resort grounds were like something from a postcard. The variety of food and restaurants on site was excellent, with plenty of choice every day. We also opted for the private beach dinner one evening, which was honestly an incredible experience and a real highlight of our trip. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. The only small downside was that the shower temperature was a bit temperamental at times, but it didn’t take away from how lovely the accommodation was overall. There were always loungers available by the pool, which made it really easy to relax without any stress or rushing in the mornings. What really stood out, though, was the staff — so friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. I have to give a special mention to Winifrida Mmary, who went above and beyond to make sure my partner and I were always taken care of. She is such a special person, and I genuinely looked forward to seeing her smiling face poolside every morning ☺️💗 thank you Wini! Overall, a beautiful stay in a stunning location — we’d absolutely return.

The hotel is beautiful and overall the staff is nice. Note the electricity often goes off in the hotel, so be careful in case you are in the shower, the water will discontinue. Do NOT drink the water left in the rooms nor the water at the restaurants. This is filtered water nor bottled water. We all experienced stomach issues which persisted after our trip for at least one week. When we realized the water was the problem, we went to reception and asked for bottled water. We were asked if we were going on a trip and when we explained the situation, they told us the bottled water was only for trips and offered an onsite visit with the doctor. When we clearly stated what the issue was after a while and consulting with management, they agreed on providing 4 small bottles of water. This should not happen in a Resort. The team lacks organisation. In the morning we asked for a coconut at the beach bar- which is not covered in the all inclusive regime. In the morning we were told we could get one by paying $5 in cash or putting it in our room. They do not take Shillings, the local currency. After coming back to the room to get dollars, in the afternoon we went to pay in cash, the staff changed shifts. They said they do not take cash and we had to put it in our rooms and looked surprised after we were told we could pay by cash. On another day our shower did not drain, therefore the water was all over the bathroom. We called the reception who sent a cleaner to collect the water. Then maintenance came to the room to fix the issue, leaving the floor dirty due to their boots. We had to call back as this was not noticed by the staff. On a different day, while having breakfast, I was suggested to move from the table I was at with no reason provided (the staff member barely spoke English).

The resort is amazing, food was wonderful changes made daily to the buffet, service staff were very courteous and attentive. The manager Ally Majaba, Celestin, servers Deborah, Elizabeth and Anita were exceptional and professional, remembering what we like to drink and always providing a smile. Husband and I had a full body massage so relaxing, he fell asleep. When the tide went out to sea, you get an unbelievable opportunity to see sea life guided by local men. Don’t run from them , they were knowledgeable worth tipping. Highly recommend for a lifetime memory. Don’t forget to tip the staff they work hard.

Nice stay but unfortunate issues We had a honeymoon stay at TUI Blue Bahari Zanzibar in February 2026. The room was nice and the bar and restaurant staff were super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there were a couple of disappointing experiences. We were offered a complimentary beachfront dinner as part of our honeymoon. We booked it for a few nights before we left. When we arrived, nothing had been set up and another couple looked to be seated in what I assumed was the “romantic beach” table/area. This was no problem for us, we spent at hour at the bar whilst they set up. When we came back, a small table had been set up, but it was nothing like the beautifully decorated table we had expected lit with hanging fairylights. We were sat under a sun lounger canopy and could barely see each other with one tiny tabletop lamp. We then waited over an hour for our food, and the gluten-free pasta I was served was essentially raw and inedible. We also had an issue with an approx £100 / 500 PLN excursion refund. I was unwell and was told by the TUI representative that I could receive a refund if I saw the hotel doctor. I did so, and the doctor said he would provide the necessary note to the TUI rep. Despite repeatedly following this up before and after returning home, I was told it was being chased, but the refund was never processed. Despite contacting TUI and the hotel separately nobody would take ownership and eventually my messages got ignored.
