My partner and I recently visited Zhangjiajie from Australia, and choosing the Pullman was easily the best decision we made for our trip.|Before arriving, we had a basic plan and a general idea of what we wanted to see, but navigating the logistics in the area can be quite overwhelming. Luckily, we connected with Zhuhua at the in-house travel agency inside the hotel. He was a complete game-changer! Zhuhua customised an itinerary tailored specifically to our needs, organised all of our tickets, and ensured we had a stress-free, cost-effective, and in-depth plan for our entire stay. Looking back, trying to organise transport and entry to each destination on our own would have been a real headache—Zhuhua took all that pressure right off our shoulders.|A massive special shout-out to our guide, Cic, who was absolutely fantastic! Cic made the whole trip run so smoothly—handling all our transport, collecting our tickets ahead of time, and looking after us every step of the way. Having such a knowledgeable and lovely guide made all the difference to our experience.|As for the Pullman itself, it’s a beautiful place to stay. The buffet breakfast was great. The hotel is in a fantastic location—just a short, easy walk to key attractions—and every single staff member we encountered was genuinely friendly and helpful.

We had a comfortable stay at Pullman. The hotel was cleanish and the posh options in the region compared to other hotels. Although the club lounge was closed during our visit, we were served in the bar instead. Crazz was particularly helpful and accommodating. We follow a vegetarian/pescatarian diet and avoid all pork-derived ingredients. Vegetarian choices were limited, but he carefully checked the ingredients, explained which dishes were unsuitable and helped us find suitable options. Pastries had pork fat in it. Our room was cleanish and well presented, and the team kindly provided alternative pillows on request. Welcome fruit, biscuits and bottled water were thoughtful touches. We particularly appreciated the staff’s care and attention to our dietary needs.

Location is excellent. The hotel is at walking distance from a river stream, which gets beautiful waterfall and light shows in evening every day. The square is lively with locals dancing on zumba, music in the garden near the river, lots and lots of restaurants. Hotel itself is pretty basic as it's infrastructure is little old. But it is functional. Nice bed to sleep. Good breakfast spread - includes lots of options for vegetarians. Includes English breakfast options like egg station, baked beans, bread and croissants. Though the egg station chef lady is a bit rude if you show her translated Chinese text on phone to request egg white omelette. Staff know little English so ordering room service is painful. Bathroom rain shower was broken and hand shower was also old and high pressure. So shower amenities can be improved. This was the condition in Executive room. Executive lounge is also under renovation.

We recently stayed at Pullman Resort for our honeymoon, and our experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish. When we mentioned it was our honeymoon, the team went above and beyond by upgrading our room and welcoming us with a lovely fresh fruit platter in our room—such a thoughtful and special touch! The resort itself is in a fantastic location with magnificent views, making it a peaceful and relaxing retreat throughout our stay. Every corner of the property was exceptionally clean, and the daily housekeeping was thorough and top-notch. The entire staff was remarkably friendly, warm, and professional, always ensuring we had everything we needed. We also thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning. Everything about our stay was truly flawless, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Thank you to the wonderful team at Pullman Resort for making our honeymoon so special! We highly recommend this resort to anyone and would love to return in the future.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The rooms were spotless, and the housekeeping team did a fantastic job every single day. To top it all off, they gave us a complimentary room upgrade, which made our experience even more memorable. Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations—we can’t recommend it enough! The location is ideal, surrounded by great amenities and restaurants, plus a delicious pizza place right next door. I highly recommend staying here!"

We stayed at Pullman Zhangjiajie from 12/7 to 15/7 in rooms 1418 and 1416, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Throughout our stay, we kept the Do Not Disturb signs on both rooms because we did not want anyone entering. Despite this, someone entered our rooms without our permission. After our stay, we discovered that approximately USD 2,000–3,000 worth of our personal belongings were missing, including clothing, shoes, sunglasses, and other personal items. In addition, the hotel was not as clean as expected, and the overall service was very unprofessional. We expected much higher standards from a hotel like Pullman, especially when it comes to guest privacy, security, and cleanliness. This experience caused us significant stress and disappointment. We hope the management takes this matter seriously, conducts a thorough investigation, and improves its security and service to ensure this does not happen to other guests.

Our stay at Pullman Zhangjiajie from July 12 to July 15, 2026 was one of the most disappointing experiences of our trip. We are a family of six and stayed in Rooms 1416 and 1418 for only three nights. We spent most of our time outside the hotel and never requested housekeeping service during our stay. After checking out and traveling to another city, we discovered that several of our valuable personal belongings were missing. The estimated value of the missing items is approximately USD 3,000. This was not just a financial loss—it ruined our vacation and left us feeling shocked and deeply disappointed. We chose Pullman because we trusted its reputation and expected our belongings to be safe. We sincerely hope the hotel management takes this matter seriously by reviewing CCTV footage and room access records to determine what happened. Every guest should be able to trust that their personal belongings are secure while staying at your hotel. We are sharing our experience so that future guests are aware and take extra care with their valuables. We also hope the hotel will improve its security procedures to prevent this from happening to anyone else. We believe the truth will come to light, and that every rightful owner deserves to have their property returned.

This Pullman wears the badge of being the only five-star international brand hotel in Zhangjiajie with considerable pride, and it leans on that monopoly status heavily. When there's effectively no comparable international competition in the area, a property can get away with delivering a lot less than the brand name implies. And that is precisely what happens here. The location is undeniably convenient, and there are a few bright spots. But beyond those bright spots, this is a property that charges five-star rates while delivering a four-star experience on a good day, and considerably less on a bad one. This feels more like a lower end Mercure than a Pullman for those who are aware of the ACCOR brands. LOCATION:About a kilometre from the east gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and within walking distance of Charming Xiangxi Theatre — these are genuine advantages. But the location story also has a harder side that marketing materials gloss over. The hotel is a full 30-minute drive from Zhangjiajie city, the airport, and the railway station. If you're arriving by high-speed rail and then taking a taxi, budget time and money accordingly - it adds up across a multi-day stay. DINE + DRINK:This is one of the more consistently disappointing aspects of a stay here. The hotel runs three restaurants and a poolside café, which sounds impressive until you experience them. The breakfast buffet is overwhelmingly Chinese in its orientation, with minimal Western options that fall short of what any genuine five-star international property should be offering to a mixed domestic and international guest base. The quality of ingredients, as well as the food, is firmly mid-range. The bigger structural problem is the tour group dynamic: the hotel is perpetually filled with large domestic tour groups, and breakfast between 7am and 8:30am is essentially a chaotic shared hall experience. Independent travellers get swallowed into the noise and crowd, seating is difficult to secure individually, and the atmosphere is closer to a canteen than a hotel restaurant. Room service and F&B staff have limited English, making ordering by phone a frustrating exercise in guesswork. ROOM: We stayed in Room 3748 , so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: View of the Pool and the mountains at a distance ; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good quality toiletries FACILITIES: The outdoor pool is the best facility on the property and its large, well-maintained, and a pleasant retreat after a day of hiking. The 24-hour health club is functional, but nothing too great. Beyond those two, the amenities picture is patchy for the price point. The hotel is cavernous, with 456 rooms across a large Southeast Asian resort-themed property, and that scale creates a sense of impersonality that is hard to shake. You don't feel like a guest here; you feel like one of hundreds being processed through. The property's sheer size works against it in terms of atmosphere, and management does little to compensate with experience design or small personal touches that international luxury brands use to humanise large properties. SERVICE: The staff are warm and that is genuine. But there are cracks. English proficiency drops off sharply beyond the front desk, making any complex request or complaint difficult to resolve for international guests without a translation app. The hotel's reliance on WeChat for communication is standard in China but excludes most foreign visitors entirely. The only saving grace was Mr.REDDY from the front desk who made things a bit manageable for us. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV, but practically USELESS as almost ALL THE CHANNELS were ONLY IN MANDARIN!!!
