I had a wonderful stay at Sunshine Hotel & Resort Zhangjiajie during my trip. The hotel is definitely worth staying at — the rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the overall environment made the trip even more enjoyable.What truly stood out was the excellent service from the staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help whenever needed. I would especially like to give special thanks to Manager Alex for his outstanding support and hospitality. He was extremely professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about guests’ experiences. His kindness and dedication made me feel very well taken care of throughout the stay.I was also deeply impressed by the support from the front desk team. On the day of departure, it was very difficult to find a large taxi because we had oversized luggage. Seeing our situation, the hotel staff kindly arranged a private car to take us to the high-speed railway station. This thoughtful and exceptional support truly went beyond expectations and made our journey much smoother and stress-free.Thanks to the amazing service and comfortable accommodation, I had a smooth and memorable experience in Zhangjiajie. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

If you are foreigner, don’t book this hotel as it will not be up to your standard. The room’s interior is nice but not well maintained. I booked suite room at executive floor. Full of dust on furnitures, the water heater was not working, made life really miserable during winter. Apparently, you have to pay for extra water bottles. Staff has poor attitude and not welcoming at all. Paid extra for the room which comes with lounge access, but the lounge is not opened. Apparently they only open the lounge for official meetings, this marketing is very misleading. Breakfast is average and they closed the breakfast section early if less crowd. Nothing much in the hotel area too, kindly skip and spend your money elsewhere.

What a great surprise! I was afraid of how the hotel would look like, but it was definitely worth it! The hotel is kind of new, so everything is new and with good quality. I was amazed by the size of the bathroom (which was huge). I really liked the shower and the bathtub, but what surprised me the most was having a really good and modern hairdryer. The bed was perfect too. The room was extremely spacious and very comfortable.

I cannot relate to the many positive reviews. The entire hotel smelled of smoke, and the non-smoking policy was not enforced. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for international guests or non-smokers. Choose elsewhere.I booked a non-smoking room but was initially assigned a smoking room - supposedly an upgrade to the executive floor. After complaining, I was told the only non-smoking floor was fully booked. When I insisted, I was shown four more smoking rooms before finally being offered a room on the supposedly non-smoking floor. Unfortunately, the hallway still smelled of cigarette smoke and durian, with guests smoking in common areas - asking on the carpet rather than using the ashtray provided. IBreakfast is a large buffet designed to handle crowds rather than cater to international travelers. Coffee is served from only two machines, and only takeaway cups are provided.

The rooms were clean. Some updating needs done. I was highly disappointed in the breakfast. We checked out no issues. We received a call quickly that we owed them 70 yuan due to breaking a cup. I knew about the cup as I knocked it off by the sink. Accidents happen I didn’t think much further. I threw it away. I was demanded to return to pay our debt upon leaving the area. We paid our debts but I was in complete shock. Upon arriving they demanded a room key that we had already given back. They made us pay for the room key as well. We paid our 70 yuan plus the room key fee of 30 yuan and away we went. I was just in shock at how disrespectful and acting as if we were criminals. I traveled to 13 different hotels in China. We were treated wonderful at every stop. This one was AWFUL due to how we were treated.

Peng Ting (A-lex) is absolutely amazing. He was incredibly helpful with all our needs and made us feel most comfortable and well looked after. We would highly recommend staying here due to the warm hospitality. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
