Google· 3 years agoHorrible treatment of guests. Linda agreed to the guests for a late check out at 12pm. Come 10.30am, Linda and her sister went back on her word and kicked the guests out. They were absolutely barbaric with how they treated the guests by yelling and literally throwing out their suitcases and clothes. I would never recommend this place. It is completely unsafe. The only good thing I can think of in this situation was that there were no children involved. Furthermore, the response from the owner towards the bad reviews are immature and unprofessional. She should not continue to run this business if she does not fix the issues she herself has caused. She should get proper training in customer service and hospitality. She should also equip herself with some manners and train her staff. Do not put yourself through the stress of wasting your money on this accommodation until she resolves these issues.

Tripadvisor· 2 years agoThis hotel is great value for money if you consider the location. But you do stand the risk of your reservation being cancelled last minute. The room of my travel companion was cancelled just days before our trip because of 'renovations.' I did stay at the hotel during the same weekend and there were certainly no renovations taking place. It was the weekend of the concerts of both Coldplay and Elton John. Most likely the room was rented out again at a higher rate, even though my travel companion booked months ahead.

Google· 4 years agoThis is probably the hotel with the best quality/price ratio in Zurich. The location is ideal, close to the old town, river and lake. It’s a cozy European style hotel with a piano bar on the ground floor. The room was small but nice and very clean. The stuff is very friendly and helpful.

Tripadvisor· 3 years agoVery friendly and clean. Staff is attentive and friendly. Nice atmosphere. Stayed there two nights and everything was as described and just perfect. Linda has her employees work with passion and you feel at home durectly. It is a perfect stay for business or when you are visiting the city.

Google· 4 years agoHad a wonderful stay here on a recent visit to Zurich. A typical small European style hotel with a bar on the ground floor. Centrally located with lots of shops restaurants and bars nearby. River and lake are a short walk. The central train station is less than 15 min walk. There is a tram line within 3-4 minutes walk. You can't beat the convenience, especially when traveling without a car. My room and common areas were clean and up to date. The staff and owner Linda were all friendly and helpful in the encounters I had with any of them. Bottom line, I recommend Hechtplatz Hotel

Google· 3 years agoUnbelievably cheap for such an incredible location. The rooms are very modern and beautiful. Linda is extremely caring, kind and considerate and fixes any issue one has in a heartbeat. I have lived in Zurich for several years now and only just moved to a different country. When visiting, this will be my go-to from now on. Could not recommend this place enough!

Tripadvisor· 3 years agoWe stayed here late November 2022. It's a charming small hotel directly in the city. It's a short walk to the river and the nearest tram stop. It's also not far from the central train station. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. The rooms are clean and the staff we dealt with were courteous and helpful. If planning to stay in this part of Zurich, recommend Hotel Hechtplatz.

Google· 3 years agoStay away from this hotel!! The staff are rude and they just throw your belongings out of your room and the reception and into the streets. This is after promising a late checkout. Even if they can't honour the late checkout, there is no need to throw guests out of reception or their belongings to the streets especially in winter! Not the first time they have been rude, look at their 1 star reviews, they also harass guests on their private phones and send condescending messages!
