For meals without leaving the hotel, Eden Kitchen & Bar serves Mediterranean-influenced dishes and fusion snacks, while La Muña on the rooftop offers Japanese-Peruvian cuisine like ceviche and sashimi. Nearby, the area along the lake includes Seebad Utoquai, and you'll find other dining spots like Kronenhalle for traditional cuisine, Williams ButchersTable am Bellevue for steak, and Marguita for Mediterranean. Drinx Bar is also in the vicinity for a drink. These are all within a short walk from the hotel's lakeside location.
The hotel sits right on the shore of Lake Zurich, a short walk from the Grossmünster (11 min) and Lindenhof (15 min), so the heart of the old town is close. The lakefront promenade is ideal for a stroll, and you are near the Zurich Opera House, as the hotel is a stone's throw from it. Seebad Utoquai, a lakeside bath, is just 127 m away. The Swiss National Museum is a 24-minute walk, while Zoo Zürich is 3.1 km and Uetliberg lookout is 4.5 km away, so those are an easy tram or car trip.
Zurich Main Station is about 1.7 km from the hotel, a roughly 8-minute trip, and an easy walk of around 20 to 25 minutes along the lake if you prefer. For a quicker option, Stadelhofen station is just 0.5 km away, a short stroll. From Zurich Airport, you are 10 km out, so take the train to Stadelhofen or the main station, then walk or hop on a tram. A taxi or ride-hailing car is another straightforward choice from either place.
In the evening, you can stay in and enjoy the hotel's own La Muña rooftop restaurant with its 360 degree view of Zurich, or the ground floor Eden Kitchen & Bar. For a stroll, the Grossmünster is an 11 minute walk and Lindenhof a 15 minute walk, both scenic spots to see the city lit up. The Swiss National Museum is a 24 minute walk away if you want a longer evening wander. The hotel bar is also right there for a relaxed drink before or after heading out.
Yes, it is a great base for Zurich. The Grossmünster is just an 11-minute walk away, and Lindenhof is 15 minutes on foot, so the old town is right on your doorstep. The Swiss National Museum is a pleasant 24-minute walk. For sights further out like Zoo Zürich (3.1 km), Aussichtsturm Uetliberg (4.5 km) or MFO-Park (5.5 km), you would use a tram, taxi or ride-hailing service. Being lakeside, you can also enjoy the promenade and use the nearby Stadelhofen station for easy connections across the city.
