Michel Reybier has announced the reopening of La Réserve Eden au Lac Zurich. After months of an ambitious renovation driven by Philippe Starck’s creativity and La Réserve’s own vision, this elegant and legendary property is back in a new form.

All 40 rooms and suites, along with the restaurants and the bar, have been completely reimagined to give guests a refined, timeless stay that stays true to La Réserve’s principles of excellence, authenticity, and simplicity.

The hotel feels like an imaginary yacht club, at once classic and modern. Varnished mahogany and other materials echo boats and sailing, and the corridors are lined with regatta photographs.

Philippe Starck describes La Réserve Eden au Lac Zurich as a timeless blend of classic, modern, intelligent, and creative elements. The hotel sits within easy reach of the city’s landmarks: Grossmünster is an 11-minute walk away, Lindenhof a 15-minute stroll, and the Swiss National Museum a 24-minute walk. Zoo Zürich is 3.1 km from the property, and Aussichtsturm Uetliberg is 4.5 km away.

We had the pleasure of staying at La Réserve Eden au Lac Zurich, and it was truly one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything about this historic lakeside property felt both timeless and refreshingly modern.

Had the pleasure of staying in one of the prestigious Balcony rooms last week. This property is stunning on every level. The service was impeccable, check in was a breeze. And the room and view were incredible. My new favorite hotel in Zurich hands down. If I could give 10 starts I would. Cannot recommend this Hotel enough.

Completed 3 steps la_reserve_eden_au_lac_review La Réserve Eden au Lac Zurich Review Drafts Google review Stayed at La Réserve Eden au Lac Zurich from June 18 through June 21, and it was a five-star experience. The people were genuinely friendly, the hotel was exceptionally clean, and the location on Utoquai by Lake Zurich made it easy to enjoy the city on foot. What stood out most was the staff. Everyone was warm, professional, and welcoming, and they helped make the stay feel comfortable from start to finish. The property felt polished and very well cared for, and its lakeside setting near central Zurich made it an excellent base for exploring the area. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxury hotel in Zurich with friendly service, a clean and elegant atmosphere, and a great location near Lake Zurich.

La Réserve Eden is a nice small luxury hotel, very well place in front of the Zurich lake, at walking distance of several points of interest at the heart of the city. I booked a room with a large terrace on the first floor. The terrace is quite nice, although I was not able to fully enjoy it due to the May weather, cold and windy during my stay. And the street just below it (Utoquai) is rather busy and noisy, which could make the experience less enjoyable. The room has been very nicely renovated by Philippe Stark, I love very much. Weak point is the lack of storages and wardrobes, as well as not so many amenities provided. I’ve tried the Kitchen & Bar, a very good 1* restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff there are really warm, kind and attentive. They didn’t just provide excellent service but made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Could not say the same about a housekeeper lady or other who does our turn down service, she clearly showed irritation and displeasure when I asked for the room to be turned down later. Such reactions make guests feel uncomfortable and are not in line with the level of hospitality one would expect. In the contrary the bellboys and doormen are exquisitely nice, I was positively pleased they greeted me with my name, while this is the first time I came to the hotel. The last thing that I also regret in this otherwise lovely hotel is the lack of a spa, although the hotel does provide in-room massage performed by external therapist.

Stayed in prestige balcony room with my girlfriend. Friendly staffs with delicate hospitality. View and room condition was amazing as well. I would also recommend to try italian dishes at the restaurant with Michelin star on the ground floor. Wish I can stay here again when visiting Zurich again sometime soon. Overall excellent experience!

This is a beautiful hotel and it is in a fantastic location in Zürich right across from the lakes. If your main goal is to walk the city and go swimming or do you like activities this is a great location. The food was delicious here. My issue was with the hotel room that was oddly configured, so it was not very spacious, and the bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable. Primarily the room was extremely stuffy, which was very difficult to sleep.
