What a beautiful hotel and an excellent experience! From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. Anisa, who greeted us at reception, was absolutely lovely. She took the time to explain everything in great detail and was extremely professional, friendly, and approachable. It is always wonderful to come across people like her who genuinely make a difference to the overall experience. As for the hotel itself, it definitely has a premium feel. Our room was exceptionally clean, spacious, and very well designed. The layout is particularly convenient for travellers with large luggage, giving you plenty of space to move around comfortably. The facilities are excellent, and the location of the hotel is incredibly convenient, especially if you are travelling around Switzerland by train, as many visitors do. Overall, what a great choice! We are extremely happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Just Wow!!! This hotel was everything we had hoped for and more!! We stayed for 5 nights, my son and I were making some memories and this was the second stop on our adventure. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, it is in a quiet location but very easy to access transport as the train into the main station is about a 5 minute walk away - it took us about 10 minutes, but I have a crutch as have had a knee replacement. The room was spotlessly clean, really good size and everything we could need, the air-con was sooo great! The breakfasts were extremely good, such a vast choice of food. The staff were all so really lovely and always greeted us with a warm smile and a welcome! There is a wonderful terrace on the 5th floor which has lots of sun-beds, little tables with comfy chairs and a wellbeing room where you can just chill for a little. We spent lovely evenings up there. There is a sauna and a hot-tub, we didn’t use those but saw plenty of people walk past to go. There was a really nice Chef in the breakfast area who was so helpful and always greeted us with a huge smile, nothing was too much trouble! There was also a young man who worked at breakfast time, he helped us with our train journeys, telling us which connections we needed for the Fifa Museum, etc. although they are all so busy, they still had a moment to help us. We would 100% recommend this hotel and will definitely be back in the future!

This hotel is a huge disappointment! We were here with Viking for 2 nights. The room is pretty spacious (for Europe). It’s was about 80 degrees outside when we visited and the room is HOT. I asked 4 times for the air conditioner to be put on but was told there is nothing they can do. The sun comes in the window and makes the room warm. Why not just close the curtain? Because the room is so dark. The lights they do have throw very little light. We have a view of train tracks and there is very little to offer within walking distance. Instead of a made up bed, they fold the duvet in half and lay it on top of the bed. If I could give it zero stars I would. Viking, do better picking hotels!

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The room was clean, and we enjoyed our stay. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The breakfast had very limited options, and the menu remained exactly the same for all five days. Adding more variety and rotating some items would greatly improve the experience for guests staying multiple nights. On one of the days, the rice pudding appeared to be spoiled, which was disappointing. It would also be great if the rooms had individual temperature control, as this would make the stay more comfortable. Overall, despite these minor issues, we had a good experience thanks to the excellent staff and comfortable stay.

I stayed here for 2 nights during my travels and had a genuinely pleasant experience. The hotel is well-located and the room was comfortable. Everything I needed for a great stay in Zurich. What really made the difference was the front office staff, especially Marco. He was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout my stay. No matter how many times I came to him with questions, he was always patient, friendly, and ready to assist. That kind of warm, consistent service is hard to find and truly appreciated. Would definitely recommend Mercure Zurich to any traveler looking for a comfortable stay with great hospitality. Will be back!

We arrived at around 10am due to an early flight into Zurich. Luckily we were able to be accommodated into a room immediately, which was fabulous as we had been travelling for well over 26 hours. Unfortunately the card key we were given would not open the door, so I had to go back down to reception and advise and get another one. The girl on reception I felt did not believe that the card wouldn’t work, but gave me another one anyway. The room was clean, albeit small, but adequate for the night. We both had showers after travelling for so long. The shower was lovely, but the towels!!!!! I am not sure how old they are, but they definitely need replacing. They were tiny and almost thread bare!! Very disappointing. Had a drink in the bar, the staff there were lovely and very friendly. We wanted to have an early night after not sleeping for over 40 hours, and found that the one duvet on the queen size bed was a single size duvet! My husband went down to reception and asked for another one to be sent up, the girl on reception was not overly friendly and didn’t really seem to care. She said housekeeping would bring one up. Over an hour later we were still waiting, he went down again, the receptionist got on the phone and actually spoke to someone, and about 10 minutes later the extra duvet arrived. So much for us getting an early night. Overall, whilst the room was comfortable and adequate, the other issues let it down.

Stayed on our first night upon arriving in Zurich, before continuing our journey/holiday. Very clean and quiet area, coop is downstairs and walkable distance to the train stn. Had a very good rest here. One thing to note for foreign travellers: while shampoo and body wash are provided, no toothbrush/toothpaste, so bring your own. Overall a lovely stay. Thank you Mercure Zurich City!

Sebastian at the front desk is an absolute legend! He generously upgraded our room for free, and the view was breathtaking. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine care turned a good stay into an unforgettable one. Sebastian, you're the real MVP — thank you for your kindness! This hotel is incredibly lucky to have you. Will definitely return!
