Parramatta Park
Parramatta Park is an 85-hectare World Heritage-listed green space in the heart of Parramatta, western Sydney's second CBD. One of Australia's earliest gazetted public parks, it combines centuries of Aboriginal and colonial history with sprawling lawns, heritage gardens, cycling paths, playgrounds and outdoor concerts — making it both a living museum and a beloved community backyard. The park contains Old Government House, Australia's oldest surviving government building and a UNESCO World Heritage site, along with the Dairy Cottage — the oldest intact building of European origin in the country. Whether you're here for history, a long cycle loop, a picnic under towering oaks, or a weekend concert, Parramatta Park delivers on every front.
