Opasquia Provincial Park

Opasquia Provincial Park is one of Ontario's largest and most remote wilderness parks—a 473,000-hectare expanse of boreal forest, glacial moraine, and hundreds of lakes straddling the Manitoba border, accessible only by float plane. Created in 1983 as a wilderness-class park, it shelters North America's densest population of wolverines, extraordinary white-water canoeing routes, and pristine fishing waters for walleye and northern pike. With no road access, no permanent visitor facilities, and a three-hour flight from the nearest town, Opasquia is a true expedition destination for paddlers, anglers, and wildlife lovers willing to go where few travelers dare.
