Pavillon der Religionen
Tucked in the green heart of Bad Kissingen's spa park, the Pavillon der Religionen (Pavilion of Religions) is an unusual house of quiet: one open, six-sided structure that gives five world religions and a space for open spirituality a shared roof. Rather than a single faith's building, it is a place of meeting and reflection, where visitors of any background—or none at all—are welcome to sit, read and pause. The pavilion stands as a symbol of the peaceful togetherness of different beliefs and of the inner paths people walk, a gift that has become one of the most contemplative stops in the resort town. Built by the Heiligenfeld Kliniken and given to the city of Bad Kissingen, the pavilion sits within the Luitpoldpark, a 15-hectare English-style landscape garden full of old and exotic trees. Its message of tolerance also reads as a continuation of the town's spa heritage: as part of the 'Great Spa Towns of Europe' UNESCO World Heritage listing (2021), Bad Kissingen long hosted guests of many faiths and confessions, and the pavilion reinterprets that open tradition for today.
