Citra Harmoni Water Park

Citra Harmoni Water Park is a family-friendly aquatic playground tucked inside the Citra Harmoni residential estate in Taman, Sidoarjo Regency — just a short drive southwest of Surabaya's city center. With a 4.4-star rating from over 3,300 Google reviews, it has earned a loyal local following as a go-to weekend escape where kids can splash, slide, and play all day. The park blends a variety of water slides — including family slides, racer slides, tube slides, and a classic tipping bucket — with pools at different depths so toddlers, older children, and adults can all find their level. Beyond the water, there is a dedicated playground area and several gazebos where parents can relax while the kids burn off energy.

Kawasan Mangrove Gunung Anyar Surabaya

On Surabaya's northeastern edge, where the city thins into fish ponds and tidal creeks, the Gunung Anyar Mangrove Ecotourism Park (Kawasan Mangrove Gunung Anyar) hides one of East Java's most surprising green escapes: a dense wall of coastal mangrove forest threaded by bamboo boardwalks, a 12-metre watchtower, and slow river boats that glide out toward the Java Sea. It is an easy, low-cost half-day out of the urban heat—and a place where a stroll becomes a small expedition. The park forms part of the Kebun Raya Mangrove Surabaya, Indonesia's first mangrove botanical garden, officially inaugurated on 26 July 2023 to coincide with International Mangrove Day. Some 57 to 58 mangrove species grow here under the care of the city's mangrove-garden unit, making it equal parts recreation ground, conservation area and outdoor classroom.

Jayandaru Monument

The Jayandaru Monument is Sidoarjo's proud civic symbol — a towering 25-meter structure crowned with oversized sculptures of a shrimp and a milkfish, the two seafood products that put this East Java regency on the map. Inaugurated in May 2015 and designed by Balinese artist I Wayan Winten, it stands at the heart of the Alun-Alun Sidoarjo (city square) and has become the regency's most recognizable landmark, a gathering point where locals of every age come to hang out, snap photos, and feel connected to their city's identity.
