Wisata Kota Tua Jakarta
Jakarta Old Town — known locally as Kota Tua — is the preserved heart of old Batavia, the once-thriving headquarters of the Dutch East India Company. Centered on the open expanse of Fatahillah Square in West Jakarta, this compact heritage district gathers some of the city's finest colonial-era buildings, a cluster of well-curated museums, and a street scene so alive that it feels less like an open-air museum and more like a neighborhood still in conversation with its own past. With a 4.6-star rating from more than 27,000 reviews, Kota Tua is consistently rated one of Jakarta's most rewarding day-trip stops. Walking the cobblestoned lanes takes no entry fee; museums charge a modest admission, and the square hums with street performers, vintage bicycle riders, and food vendors from morning until night. For visitors who want to understand how Jakarta grew from a fortified spice port into a sprawling modern capital, nothing packs the story into a smaller area.
