Lans Trusalo
Lans Trusalo is the kind of beach you stumble upon and then quietly hope nobody else finds. Tucked along Mahé's west coast near Port Glaud, this 280-metre stretch of fine pale sand, granite boulders, and clear turquoise water has no vendors, no sunbeds, no built shade structures, and no crowds. Just palm trees pressing close to the shoreline, the mountain rising behind you, and the small island of L'Islette sitting offshore like a green punctuation mark on the horizon. It is deliberately undeveloped, which is exactly why it feels so rare. What makes Lans Trusalo worth the detour from Beau Vallon or the resort strips further along Port Launay Road is its sheer stillness. One visitor described the experience as feeling like Robinson Crusoe, alone on a long beach fringed with mangroves and alive with crabs, fish, and birds. The water shelves gently from the shoreline, making it inviting for a slow swim or just standing in the shallows while the afternoon light softens over the western sea.
