Labirint umetnosti
Tucked into the Fužine neighbourhood on the eastern edge of Ljubljana, the Labyrinth of Art is a living sculpture that invites you to walk a spiral path enclosed by 287 Canadian hemlock trees. Created in 2010–2011 during Ljubljana's year as World Book Capital, it fuses landscape design with literature, philosophy, and the simple pleasure of strolling among evergreens. The stone-paved trail underfoot is inscribed with quotations and proverbs from thinkers around the world, while memorial plaques beside the trees honour the community members who planted them. At the labyrinth's heart, a small wooden hut houses an open public library where anyone can sit, browse, and borrow a book—making the destination as much a reading room as a garden.
