Wat Chamaep
Wat Chamaep is a quietly rooted parish temple serving the farming community of Thap Sai in Pong Nam Ron, a lush highland district in Chanthaburi Province known for its durian orchards, pepper plantations, and borderland markets. The temple takes its name from the chamaep tree, a tropical hardwood native to eastern Thailand's forests. Though modest in scale compared to grand city wats, Wat Chamaep carries an active monastic community of up to twelve resident monks and hosts important annual ceremonies that draw local families together.
