Photos really don’t do this place justice. The location is so beautiful and serene, the property is rustic but clean and refined. We checked in after a busy few days in Lisbon and it was exactly what we needed. We spent two very relaxing nights here and almost didn’t want to go out on our day trip the one day because it’s so inviting to lounge around the property and read or listen to the birds or wander through the olive trees. Every staff member was lovely and clearly cared about their guests having the best experience. Few rooms (7?) make for a quiet, cozy place. Home cooked food was delicious. Really can’t say enough, please stay here and experience it for yourself ♥️

Loved our stay - everything about it was amazing. Nuno and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The highlight for us was definitely the food - kudos to the chef! Every meal was fantastic, and the wine recommendations were spot on. We really appreciated the calm and peaceful atmosphere; it was so rejuvenating and exactly what we needed to unwind. Waking up to the sound of birds chirping and bees buzzing - heaven! Thank you for such a wonderful experience—we’d happily come back!

What a beautiful and special place this is! Set in the gorgeous Evora countryside amongst fruit and olive trees, this quiet retreat is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. The service is outstanding — thank you Antonio and Nuno …. Everything was perfect. The food here is also amazing — be sure to enjoy the dinners snacks and breakfast. We also visited a nearby vineyard Joao Portugal Ramos which we highly recommend. The wine tasting and lunch were fantastic!

Actually this is a small inn, only 7 rooms and the property is not much workers. So actually the services are limited.For the room which is very natural and raw, as this is renovation from the horse farm from 1950, and have a small pool but not really clean. For the facilities are not many things to do , food is not bad . But the breakfast was so good, coz they cooked by order. Overall , I think the price is too high as this standard. I will not recommend in this price .

What a great place. A true find. A large classic farm / manor house near the stones down a dirt road. Staff - exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. Good base for some dark sky action. Just under 2 hours from Lisbon. Thanks to Nn Nu on fron tdesk.

We are on a driving tour of Portugal north of Lisbon and this was our first stop (I suppose Evora isn’t technically north of Lisbon). What an incredible place. It takes about 3 km on a dirt road to get here and it’s amazing. Just 7 rooms and ours was very comfortable. Very design forward. The service is first rate. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The provided breakfast, which you order the night before, is also very good. It’s about 20 minutes to Evora proper. Two separate pool areas and the grounds are available for short hikes. The view over a valley to the city of Evora is spectacular. Highly, highly recommended.

Supreme! We loved our stay at Imani Country House. Do not let the dirt road to the entrance deter you. Once you have arrived you won’t want to leave this beautiful setting. The staff was engaging and most pleasant. Excellent English was appreciated. Our large suite was luxurious. I wish we had been there during warmer weather when we could have taken advantage of the two swimming pools. We dined in the evening there for dinner and were served a delicious meal. Breakfast was a treat also. You will be surrounded by orange and olive trees on the property. The Inn and public rooms are delightfully decorated with curated objects. Staying here was the highlight of our visit to nearby Evora. Highly recommend.

For our first trip to Portugal, we were looking for something special and boy did we find it. This place is a hidden gem at the end of a dirt road, tucked away among orange trees, with just seven rooms and the warmest hospitality you can imagine. Calling it a hotel doesn’t quite do it justice. It feels far more intimate and personal, like a secluded retreat. We stayed for two nights but easily could have stayed much longer. Everything—from the food to the service, the atmosphere to the facilities—contributes to a unique sense of comfort and belonging that’s hard to find elsewhere. Despite having only a few rooms, the property is spacious and beautifully designed, with two pools and a cozy outdoor area offering stunning views. It felt incredibly private; at times we barely saw other guests, making us wonder how such a peaceful experience was even possible. A heartfelt thank-you to Vera and Antonio, who have been with the property for years and are truly exceptional. Their kindness and care made our stay unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be back.
