Here's the updated review: **"Charming Stay in the Heart of Girona"** We spent two wonderful nights at Palau Fugit in Girona, and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel has a unique charm that makes you feel like you're staying in a medieval palace, fitting perfectly with Girona's historic old town. The location is unbeatable — you can walk the entire old town right from the hotel's doorstep, and it's close to some of the best restaurants and shopping in the area. The staff were amazing throughout our stay: helpful, courteous, and always efficient, whether we needed recommendations or assistance with anything else. The restaurant on the ground floor was a real highlight — it serves a wonderful breakfast in the morning and transforms into a stunning bar in the evening, perfect for a nightcap. The rooms themselves were great, and the terrace and pool were lovely added touches that made our stay even more relaxing. One thing to note if you're driving: the hotel is difficult to access by car. You'll need to park at a central parking lot and walk about 15 minutes to reach the hotel — worth planning ahead for, but not a dealbreaker. We'd highly recommend Palau Fugit to anyone visiting Girona — a perfect blend of location, charm, and service!

It took a little while to get used to the sink in the middle of the room and the wonderful breakfast did get a little monotonous but neither of those things detracted from a terrific stay at a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and hard working, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the building is just what you’d want it to be in such an historic place. We particularly loved having a little outdoor space to ourselves that led to the shared outdoor patio and pool. Being so close to everything in the old town of Girona was also a huge plus. If you stay for a few days, take the opportunity to go out early in the morning to walk the walls or go up to the cathedral as you’ll have those places almost entirely to yourself!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the welcome to the moment we checked out: everything was fantastic! Boutique-style, quiet, and refined down to the smallest details. We loved the location: right in the city center, yet somehow an oasis of tranquility. The staff is warm but in a beautifully understated way. We genuinely enjoyed this experience

We absolutely loved our stay at Palau Fugit. The location is amazing — right in the heart of Girona’s historic old city — and the service was fantastic from start to finish. I highly recommend booking both the breakfast and spa experience. Breakfast was fresh, local, and beautifully presented. The spa was a true retreat after long days of walking. The historic building itself adds so much character; it feels like staying in a private palace rather than a hotel. If you’re visiting Girona, this is the place to stay. We’re already talking about a return trip!

This hotel is a dream. Conveniently in the heart of downtown in walking distance to so many restaurants and cafes as well as historic landmarks and shopping. You are tucked away on a pedestrian street on a property that is intimate and beautiful. The downstairs cafe and bar where breakfast is served is delicious. With drinks and bites offered throughout the day. The pati offers a plunge pool which is secluded and built beautifully into the design of the hotel. The patio rooms offer outside spaces and bathtubs. The spa may be the absolute highlight. A beautiful cave that has been transformed with a plunge pool, relaxation lounge and a treatment room. The massage I’ve we’ve had in my life. Hotel Palau Fugit is a must to experience and a place a plan to return to very soon.

Really enjoyed our one-night stay at Hotel Palau Fugit. It’s in a beautiful spot right in the old town, which made it super easy to wander around and soak up the atmosphere. The setting is lovely, and breakfast was a great start to the day. Would definitely stay again.

Very lovely boutique hotel at the hart of Girona. It’s not cheap, but great location, spacious rooms, excellent service and lovely breakfast make it well worth it. Not to mention spa/wormed up pool, outside pool, rooftop bar. My suite was ironed in the morning in few hours. Manager Albina was knowledgeable and very helpful. Strongly recommend! Only one little note: getting there by the car is rather inconvenient!

Loved everything about the hotel. The large airy entrance, stairs and our room. Great location, right in the middle of the old town. Only downside is that the area isn't very accessible for cars. Pedestrian (or cyclist) traffic only. There aren't many parking options close by and we parked across the bridge. We had the Biggy Palau and the room is an oasis. High ceilings, porta-finestra doors to the balconette, and stylish decorations. The bed was so comfortable - sheets were silky smooth. I liked that the toilet is separate from the bath area. The Lindt chocolate for that Easter weekend was a nice touch. Breakfast is served on a tiered tray, and you can request for eggs done the way you like. It's not a big dining area although there are two rooms. We were rushing that morning couldn't take our time to enjoy breakfast. I would stay here again and will book some time at the pool, if I get the chance.
