The hotel's own restaurant, Tempura Kichifuku, serves Japanese tempura and is right on the first floor. For other options, the area around Himeji Station has many restaurants, including Shokusaiya Usagi Machinaka Himeji Ekimaeten, Wagokoro no Daidokoro Emiya, and Shusentei Nadakiku Kappa-tei, all within a short walk. You can also try Nihonshu to Kushiage Kura for kushiage, or iccyoura for a casual meal. The station's shopping complex, Piole, has dining spots like Rikimaru JR Himeji Station. For a local specialty, Anago Ryouri Hiiragi (QWELL Himeji store) offers conger eel dishes. These are all close to the hotel, so you have plenty of choices without going far.
The hotel sits right by Himeji Station, so the area is lively with shops, department stores, and restaurants. An arcade shopping street nearby is great for strolling and trying local Himeji specialties. The world heritage Himeji Castle is a 14-minute walk away, with Ōtemae Park just 8 minutes on foot. Koko-en Garden and Sannomaru Square are both an 11-minute walk, making the neighborhood ideal for sightseeing. The hotel's own restaurant serves Japanese tempura and local dishes, and there are many dining options around the station.
From JR Himeji Station, it is about a 5 minute walk to the hotel. From Sanyo-Himeji Station, it is also about a 5 minute walk. If you arrive by Shinkansen, get off at Himeji Station and head to the north exit. From Kobe Airport, take the Port Liner to Sannomiya Station, then the JR new rapid service to Himeji Station, about 40 minutes. From Kansai International Airport, take a limousine bus to Sannomiya Station, then the JR new rapid service to Himeji Station. A taxi or ride-hailing service from the station is also an option.
In the evening, you can walk to Himeji Castle and its grounds, about 14 minutes away, where the lit-up Main Keep is a classic sight. The hotel's own restaurant serves tempura and local dishes, and there is also a café on site. Around the station, you will find shopping centers and restaurants, plus an arcade shopping street near the hotel for a stroll. For a relaxed evening, the nearby Ōtemae Park, an 8-minute walk, offers open space under the night sky. You can also join a guided evening tour of Himeji Castle to learn its history after dark.
Yes, Daiwa Roynet Hotel Himeji is a great base for exploring the city. Himeji Castle is just a 14-minute walk away, and the Main Keep is also 14 minutes on foot. You can reach Koko-en Garden in 11 minutes and Ōtemae Park in 8 minutes. Sannomaru Square and Himeji Park are each about 11 to 12 minutes away. The Hyogo Prefectural Museum of History and Himeji City Museum of Literature are a 17-minute stroll. For farther sights, the hotel is steps from Himeji Station, so you can easily catch a train or bus to explore beyond the castle area.
