4 star hotel expensive We had a big room for 3 ppl but one big problem was there no sockets close to the bed to charge phone or check phone while charging and laying in bed. There was a coffee machine in the room but the coffee used to make was thin and like water taste. Breakfast was not included. Buying breakfast was expensive, as we were three. A bakary was great to buy breakfast and real coffee. Location is just oposit to Himije train station. There was wedding and it seems you can rent service for that to organize a wedding. We did not like the hotel. Expensive for what we got.

Dear Hotel Nikko Himeji Team, I would like to express our disappointment regarding the experience we have had upon our arrival at the hotel today 29/07 at 12:00 pm. We completely understand that our room was not ready yet and that there are established check-in times. However, we were very surprised that we were not allowed to access the lounge (open now) for a couple of hours while waiting, especially considering that we had just arrived after a long journey, carrying luggage, in extremely hot weather, and we are also celebrating our honeymoon. This is the first time we have experienced something like this in a hotel of this category. We specifically chose a superior room because we had heard very good reviews about Hotel Nikko and the Nikko brand, and we expected a level of service consistent with that reputation. Our only request was to be able to sit in the lounge, which we had access to, for a short time and have a soft drink while our room was being prepared. We found it very disappointing that this was not possible. We have previously stayed at Hotel ANA Crowne Plaza and Hotel Marriott during this trip, and the difference in the level of service and attention to guests is clearly noticeable. Unfortunately, this experience has not met the expectations we had for a hotel like Nikko. We will also make sure to mention this in the satisfaction survey that Nikko sends us, and in TripAdvisor as we believe it is important to share our experience. Kind regards,

Right next to the station (though we didn't hear any noise), this is a business-like hotel with very friendly staff and very comfortable rooms. It's a 15-minute walk to the famous and delightful castle - which may be why you're here! Rooms were comfortable and quiet; breakfast good with plenty of choice. And such friendly staff - they came out to wave our group off as we left (one guy even running around the corner to the main road to continue waving frantically!). Very good comfortable hotel - recommended

Excellent location just outside Himeji train station. Quiet rooms with comfortable beds. The room was little on the warm side during my Dec/Jan stays.

By focusing everything on the renovation and the lounge, the hotel has significantly downgraded its existing membership program, leaving it with almost no benefits. It seems they’ve adopted a strategy of recouping the renovation costs by maximizing revenue wherever possible. The staff’s hospitality remains consistently polite, but for room-only guests, this place has become just another ordinary mid-range hotel. Notice:Bathroom drainage problem; water overflows onto the floor when draining the tub after bathing. We reported it on our last stay, but nothing has been fixed. Maintenance is poor for a renovated hotel. Also, the vending machines on each floor still only accept cash and are rarely restocked.

Room was quite large and had all usual amenities - safe, iron, tea/coffee station. Hotel is next to Himeji train station, but I could not hear trains on 11th floor. Breakfast was offered in a restaurant, but could not be charged to room, which was inconvenience that made me skip it.

To say the view from the hotel was amazing would be an understatement... The beds were amazing and so were the amenities and equipment in the room, probably the best western style room we have stayed in during our trip, highly recommended Breakfast was also a great selection of local and Western foods! And literally 1 minute walk from the station

We stayed two nights this time. Similar room to the one I had before. Breakfast was good and I was able to charge it to the room. There was iron in the room, but I had to ask for ironing board. Iron was awful; hard to iron a shirt, especially with tiny, table top ironing board.
