The Hotel locationis excellent. its on hill and views are amazing. Food was good only issue we had was during checkout when no one was available to get the luggage from room . Its 2nd floor with no lift.

The hotel has rooms spread across multiple levels, with some accessible by lift and others requiring several flights of stairs. Despite checking in as a family with a young child and a pram, we were allocated a room on the top floor with no lift access, requiring us to climb three flights of stairs every time we entered or left the room. There appeared to be no consideration given to our circumstances when allocating the room. It was such an inconvenience that even the porter chose to leave the pram downstairs rather than carry it up the stairs. This meant carrying both our toddler and everything we needed up and down three flights of stairs throughout our stay—something that seemed entirely avoidable with more thoughtful room allocation. The room itself was also well below expectations. It felt tired, dated and overdue for refurbishment. The bathroom tap continuously overflowed, a fault that the Housekeeping Manager acknowledged and apologised for, confirming that it was a genuine maintenance issue rather than simply our impression. The one standout feature is the location. The views over the surrounding countryside are absolutely stunning and create a peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was decent—nothing memorable, but perfectly acceptable for the price. Unfortunately, beautiful surroundings can only compensate so much. Poor room allocation, lack of consideration for families with young children, and dated, poorly maintained rooms meant this hotel fell well short of what we expected.

We had a wonderful stay at Amaya Hills and thoroughly enjoyed our getaway. The hotel offers breathtaking mountain views and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it perfect for relaxation. The food was excellent throughout our stay, and we were very impressed with the quality and variety of all three meals. Most importantly, the staff were exceptional. From the front desk team to the housekeeping staff and restaurant servers, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Thank you to the entire Amaya Hills team for making our stay so memorable. We had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Kandy with beautiful scenery, great food, and outstanding hospitality.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing stay at Amaya Hills Kandy! Everyone was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our visit. The service was fantastic, and the staff truly made our experience special. A special thank you to Sudath, the bar supervisor, who was absolutely wonderful and provided outstanding service. We also want to recognize a lovely staff member who was in training at the main restaurant—unfortunately, we forgot her name, but she was fantastic as well! Thank you to the entire team at Amaya Hills Kandy for making our stay so memorable. Highly recommended!

Nice stay here ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Amaya Hills was an absolutely wonderful and memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful location, breathtaking views, peaceful atmosphere, and the warm hospitality of the entire team. The surroundings are truly stunning, making it a perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the natural beauty of the hills. The service throughout our stay was excellent. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive to our needs, which made us feel comfortable and well looked after. A special mention goes to Ayeshika, who was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful. Her friendly attitude and genuine care made a big difference to our experience. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied, and her excellent customer service deserves special appreciation. We had a pleasant stay at Amaya Hills and overall enjoyed the experience very much. The hotel atmosphere, location, and facilities were excellent. We were here with my sister's family, who came down from USA, and we absolutely loved this place. The place is simply breathtaking. Cool breeze with wide open view of the beautiful mountains. I need to give special thanks to the manager (Mr. Darshana) at the dinner buffet. We were there on 26th/27th July this year. We ordered A la carte, not the buffet and when the food was a bit delayed to arrive and my little nephew was getting sleepy, Mr. Darshana offered him ice cream from the buffet, which I think was such a wonderful and thoughtful gesture. He is such a friendly, accommodating person. We want to visit Amaya hills again and probably every year too. The staff is truly the best thing about this place. It doesn't matter how wonderful the location is, for me personally, the deal breaker is hospitality.
