This was our second time staying at Villa Cheli, and once again it was a fantastic experience. We spent a few wonderful nights here and enjoyed every moment. The rooms are beautiful, full of character, and have a unique charm. The pool area is great and very well maintained. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and they went above and beyond to help me plan a truly special evening. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back again. Ciao!

A short bus ride from Lucca and easily reached by car. Stunning views of the countryside, with a delightful swimming pool, much larger than you usually see in a small hotel. Breakfast was typical Italian fare, with a more modest scrambled eggs and bacon on offer. But, the supper served on the terrace entrance to the hotel was by far the best. Very good quality ingredients for every course, and wines that compliment each course. While lunch was not catered for, most guests were site seeing, there was a particularly nice pasticceria, Pasticceria Le Perla. The hotel, staff and food made me want to extend my stay.

Amazing location. Such a pity that the service was not up to scratch. The rooms in the main villa itself looked fab, but we were stuck in what was probably a broom cupboard in the past in the annexe to the villa.|Breakfast was very basic and nothing like we had elsewhere in Italy. Burnt bacon and grey scrambled egg that was actually inedible. Small selection of fruit, cheese and cold meats. Tasty pastries. Service round the pool was almost non existent. The owners are missing a goldmine there since they have a captive audience. . We just felt that they actually did not want us there. Such a pity since this villa has such potential.

The hotel is very nice, and the rooms are renovated, clean, and comfortable. Unfortunately, the breakfast needs significant improvement, as the quality and variety were disappointing. The pool area could also be better maintained and upgraded. Overall, the stay was pleasant, but these aspects should be improved to match the standard of the hotel.

A very beautiful and stylish country hotel just outside Lucca, in the classic Tuscan style. The rooms are tastefully furnished. The staff is very polite and courteous, and the service is perfect. We would love to return.

Wonderful hotel, friendly staff. Location turned out to be wonderful, not directly in Lucca but easily accessible by taxi. Great parking if you are driving. We stayed for 6 days for a wedding and the staff put up with our huge extended family. Everyone was welcoming and gracious. Also don't miss the hotel restaurant, one of our best meals in Italy. La Perla across the street is another great place to grab food.

I absolutely loved this hotel. Full of charm quirks, art, history and past grandeur. People were very welcoming and friendly, deluxe room in main villa was lovely and comfortable decorated in a traditional Italian Villa style in keeping with the historical Villa. Gorgeous views of the sweeping driveway and surrounding beautiful Countryside as requested. The bathroom may have been slightly dark but didn't bother us as it is an older style hotel. Good shower lovely shutters to keep out the light, not that there was any. Loved the big pool with it's lovely gardens and views very peaceful could hear nothing but crickets chirping. They booked dinner for us for that evening on arrival which was in the romantic softly lit Courtyard, very nice tried their wine very good would recommend. Breakfast was ok it is a 3 star hotel remember, plenty of pastries, bread, cheese ham etc the scrambled eggs maybe slightly over done for my taste . Juice could have been better but overall a lovely stay and they booked a private car transfer to Pisa for us too, the young driver was the most polite nicest smart friendly (handsome!) professional making it a really good experience, he also provided bottles of water and refreshing wipes. Only half hour to the airport and about 10/15 minutes ish by taxi to Lucca. Nice walks, Gelato place over the road, wine tasting in the hotel. Looks wonderful setting for weddings. Definitely recommend.
